I'd say he has rust in his head too.

Comment section and replies paints enough of a picture.

That auction description reads like a joke. Seriously, someone trying to be an internet troll.

Another plausible explanation is that it's someone's way of saying to their wife "Its for sale honey! I can't help it if nobody buys it..."

Ignoring the fact I know the seller and what he purchased it for...

It's not even a genuine M535i...

In addition to my earlier comment. AKA proof I know too much about E28s...

As for the not genuine, it's not a genuine M535i, just a well spec'd 535i. Reasons for this:

  • No Mtech Body Kit
  • Sports seat option (standard equipment on M535i)
  • Wrong model code (DC32)
  • Non-Shadowline tail lights
  • Chrome bumpers front and rear (M535i's don't have Chrome bumpers)
  • Has a front valance (M535i's have none)

Do you think the seller knows its not a genuine M535i, or is it a simple mistake.

(like when people list a 318i as an m3)

I'd be erring towards simple mistake, as it's small details (ignoring the glaringly obvious lack of body kit), not missing two cylinders and a cam in the 318i -> m3 example

The rego label reads Motorsport. Ah, good job during vehicle compliance. Did they have those back in 1994?

Soooo basically we can all agree it's just 12k for a pile of rust and a ohh humm 3.4?

If it has a dog-leg box and not just a dog-leg gear knob, then that would be worth a few $$$ if it is in good condition.

I don't think it's a 265/5 box in these I thought it was a 262/5 so not the real expensive one.

Other than that he's dreaming...
