WTB : E30 51mm strut housings, E20 320i manual driveshaft

Recommended Posts

Looking for a couple bits for my engine swap.

First, a driveshaft from a manual 320i E30 (should measure around 1526mm)

Also looking for a pair of 51mm strut housings to fit my Koni shocks

I may have a pair of 51mm struts... I'll try to remember to measure them.

Sorry - forgot to do it today.

Too much Christmas gin to think about it now! :dodgy:

Tomorrow.

I'm getting slow in my old age! (Or something.)

Looks like they are 51mm. I've sent a PM.

51mm struts sorted thanks to Graham. Just looking for the 320i manual driveshaft now.

Bump, still looking for a 320i manual driveshaft.

If anyone knows of an alternative please chime in. I believe I could get the front half (gearbox to central support bearing) custom made to fit to my exisiting 320i auto driveshaft, is that right?

Yes, the rear half is the same on all. It is the front section that varies.

Just get a someone able (driveline specialist) to modify (extend) your auto front section to suit the box you are fitting - 240 or 260

Can't recall the measurements other than the 260 has a 37mm shorter front section to the 240. I know this as i had a 240 shaft shortened when i converted my sons 325i to manual last year.

Yeah, I think i'll get someone to make the front half so that it matches the length of a manual 320i shaft. Now I just need to find someone to do it!
