Oh man! That BT52 wow, so cool. Was that a kit produced at some point, as it has the sponsors and numbers etc that must be stickers? Could have been made specially for it I guess...

Again, any build instructions for this would be great to have!

A quick google and I found it, along with loads of other cool F1 cars, and it's RC and powered - I can see a lot of time being spent hunting through ice cream tubs in my son's bedroom.

The BT52 is a creation by award-winning Lego designer/builder, Luca Rusconi. He has his own website - http://www.roscopc.it.
Lots more pics here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/32975211@N05/sets/72157624911905176

He makes build instructions available on Rebrickable. You need to register and log in, but can then often buy parts and/or instructions from individual builders listing there. Luca's page is https://rebrickable.com/users/RoscoPC ; click on MOCs (My Own Creations) to see more than a dozen other older F1 cars he has recreated in Lego.

That one has a VW Type 3 engine and 4-speed manual transaxle. A huge amount of work done by a former BMW master tech from Munich.
The bed tilts, too. :)
