From memory put into a wall at a track day, not hard but pretty sure it was this car.

Yes and wasn't it on the market for weeks at around $18k 5 or so years ago?

Nice car!

But it does strike me as weak to ask that price and leave water in the headlight! 

Makes me wonder what other gremlins are hidden if basic ones are so obvious...

Thanks to @DC3 I'm updating a register of all e39 M5's in NZ, a very interesting exercise.  There is at least one other Silverstone alive in NZ, one deceased.  A ton of number plate changes... very few on original plates..  and heaps of garden variety carbon blacks :)

That one had spun big end bearings. Was bought and fixed up by @Lachie I believe.

Hi I know this is old thread but...

...Can you tel me more about the smashed repaired one? I just want to avoid it or identify it if it comes up.

Silverstone blue, and IIRC has a pre-release (or similar) code in its vin options.
