89 E34 value for insurance

Hi all. 

It's that time again and looking for advise on what I'd should get for fixed value insurance. 

1989 E34 530i se factory manual straight 6 m30b30. 

Sunroof, factory sports seats 540 skirts bumpers. UK import. 

Any ideas if prices have stayed stable or up down.

Good examples are on the rise though ive only seen a couple of upper tier examples for sale in the last couple of years. I think people are holding on to good examples as they were the last of the classic era BMW's. Average lower spec\displacement autos are pretty much stayed the same (2-3k mark)

Id say 4-5k if its tidy but hasn't had money thrown at it (ie full engine, suspension refresh etc etc)

I just wondering who people have insurance with and rough yearly premium. 

Also I know I can't replace my car closest would be 535i motorsport spec or 540i manual. Haven't seen what a 89 530i m30 b30 Manual . Recaro Oem sports seats. Sunroof. 540 bumbers side skirts colour matched. 16inch basketweaves new slightly lower springs. Stut braces etc Well maintained and good condition for age all round. 

I can't find anything for sale that compares apart from the 540i in NZ. 

I had at 5k but I know couldn't replace for that if at all as it is UK Import.

Call around and ask for an agreed value quote?

 

My insurance company, Tower, will insure my e39 for up to $10k for example, without quibble. With quibble/valuation, they'd go higher even. 

 

EDIT: Search the thread about Swann insurance too, they might be a good one to call.

Yeah try a few places. I just got a verbal quote thru AA classic ca for my S600 - $~170 p.a agreed value which is very cheap compared to others.  Still need to find out if it covers a few things like glass though.
