Why would you not have a piece welded in? I wouldn't trust that!

It's temporary to continue with the build...try reading the very well documented thread

Some dodgee loo king temporary engine mounts and a possible permanent  gearbox one.

Glad I made these ones though...gave me some new ideas for the actual design. Want to TRY and make them solid Az mate...incase me or the next owner goes mental and 1000hp'ers this soon to be Monster?

Fitted mounts. Gearbox all squared up?‍? Engine 2 mm to right. Height sweet. Have better ideas for the mount and for strengthening the crossmember. Made a vid. Never save?.Starter quite close to steering shaft and makes it more of a squeeze for headers. Might have to bring front 2 forward. Chucked orig springs and some 16s on to move her around. After +-27 hrs...a 6.0ltr V8 sits in this e36 ???

Latest engine mount design. Will use +-40mm pipe 3.5-4 mm wall thickness with new base to suit shape of cross member.

Cert inspector coming in at 1pm tomorrow to go over the Holden that we fitted the V8 into. I will have a chat regarding the mounts, steering shaft mod, to panel the tunnel, shifting the steering rack, and other areas of the build. ?

Moving the steering rack is not ideal. IMO I would be moving everything else before I moved the steering rack location. Awesome build tho

= one solid strong rear.

E60 M5 LSD 3.62 to fit. Did some reading on reinforcing the chassis. Quite abit to do. Plate kits are quite cheap from the US. ...and the snowball of building one HARD-CORE road/race car gets bigger.  The choice was either to get a S1000rr from SA or build a Monster....?

Will you record everything regarding required measurements for all the mounts, headers, clearances etc that you’ve fabbed up so it could be done again faster and easier as you’ll have less guess work?

Thought of a few better mount, gear lever, abs pump/linelock & header designs while spending some QT with her on Sat eve brru.

Yeaa boi...???? mee sumps arrived the the land of the Free.

Picking up the alti & fuse box for the Ls tonight. Hopefully start the engine on the stand by next weekend. Draughting & pricing for headers(1 7/8)...hate imperial? + material. R side of headers ..2 under and 2 over . L side heaps of space but less past gearbox  where the collector will be to the rear of it where it will join to a Y piece...so 2.5" into a Y  into a 3". ...so maybe rectangular tubing with the correct volumetric air flow and area space to keep the height on left only....will see....cos eye loike mee stance ay.
