BMW NZ tends to be be okay (if not expensive) for these types of odd bits and pieces I've found. You might pay $20 more than from FCP but you'll probably get them within 24 hours.

@M3AN lead time isn't too important, more concerned with price (hence looking for other options) as I'm not keen on spending >$100 on 4 bolts...

ROFL ? I retract my recommendation, that pricing should be illegal.

US$60 + Shipping for the lot from Schmiedmann.

Well, it's 45% more expensive which is certainly significant and in my opinion is a huge difference.

BMW NZ's spare parts prices are simply not justifiable. Even when the import rules change next year they'll still be wildly more expensive than overseas options.

I realise their stock is really to provide for their dealer networks but it's the very definition of price gouging.

If they actually sold parts for a small (reasonable) margin above what BMW Ag charges they could have quite the little side business I would think. But they'd have to get rid of their stupid 3 week delivery timeframe and ship to order.

BMW AG charges BMW NZ who then charges the local franchises who need to make a profit somehow. It's a business model setup from AG rather than BMW NZ issue they have little say it how it all works.

Alot of stuff is well priced but some stuff varies differently

Gareth, two stories

Waterpump installed, pump price $700 nz on invoice, I stood in the foyer and called them bloody thieves same pump from the states $130 us. Pump price dropped to $500 nz.

Rear lower bush $70nz or $25 from US each

Same part Sponsored Race car (parts @ cost) $6.00 nz each.

Old stories but true

Sorry mate,  but the poor old bmwnz companies lack of profit margin is a joke
