Can anyone recommend a bead blaster/powder coater in Auckland

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I'm changing the rocker cover gaskets on my e38 740i and need to get the rocker covers cleaned properly and powder coated... Has anyone had this done recently? It's an m62tu so apparently is a magnesium alloy that needs the oil baked out of it first. The original paint is completely cracked and peeled off everywhere... It's a mess!

Appreciate any recommendations. Cheers, Justin.

I've had all my powder coating done here: http://www.mikestan.co.nz although they outsource the surface prep (or you can sort it yourself). I've never had any problems and their prices are really competitive if you're prepared to fit in with a scheduled colour run.
