Can I Retro Fit iDrive Computer 2008 525i Touring E61

Hi,

I want to upgrade my iDrive in a 525i touring Japanese import to a NZ unit. I think the unit i have now is the CCC model but i can't use the radio or DVD player and can't find any way to change the setting so it will at least get NZ radio.

I would like to buy a second hand NZ new iDrive computer from a BMW wrecker and swap the units.

Is that something i can do as a straight swap of the unit in the boot?
