monkeygod11 4 Report post Posted September 2, 2019 Hi All BMW newbie here, picked up this one 2 weeks ago. Manufactured 2009. Got the CIC iDrive in it, N54 engine. I want to replace the radio with a single DIN mechless Bluetooth head unit, I'm pretty clueless on how, can anyone recommend what I need to do or who I could take it to, to get it done? And then decided to get a $25 BT to Aux adapter instead Does a good job. I bought the Himbox one on Amazon but there are other options around there. Replacing the head unit will not look pretty, and not sure if that can even work well with iDrive. I wouldn't recommend that route. If you don't mind dropping a few thousand, get the NBT retrofit with Bluetooth. Or the cheap easy option I took.
