LVVTA aftermarket seat belt anchorage

Recommended Posts

Has anyone recently gone through cert process with aftermarket seats/rails?

In particular mounting seat belt buckle end to the trans tunnel using mounting plates - and how to measure where to affix.

cheers

Hi Mark, you will need to go to LVV site download the H template and instructions to work out your individual seat belt receiver location and height.

Thanks @sweetm3 I couldn't remember the template (was searching for schedule H instead).  Cheers!

For those interested in mounting aftermarket seats / brackets / rails, I've just spoken to LVVTA directly.

There is no 'correct place' to mount the seatbelt anchorage on the trans tunnel, however it must be accessible at all positions forward and aft (so measure using the seat's mid point) and sit approximately at hip level.

See section 2.10(7) below on page 40.
