Complete noob here wondering what this button does

Found under the steering wheel on the right hand side by the door. In a 2008 525i. The LED turns green when pressed but I can't figure out what it does. Maybe something to do with the alarm system?

It's watching you...

Not sure, but it isn't factory. Is that a little picture of a sun? Does it turn on some aftermarket daylight running lights? You may need to play with light switches to see. Perhaps some "cool" under car LED strips?

Yes it is a picture of a sun, you might be right about some aftermarket lights. I'll have a look tonight and see. I just found a hidden Sprint Booster button under the dash as well so I thought it might have been related to that somehow but I can't find any similar looking modules on Google Images
