seeking advice for solid tyres 2010 1 series E88 120i

Recommended Posts

Size of current tyres: 205/55 R16

I see no reason to use a different size.  I bought the E88 2nd hand so it has a mix of tyres on it, 2 of them are cheap crap.  Other 2 are older, so am looking to get 4 new tyres.  Run flats look insanely expensive so I will pass on that + I have road side assistance.  But maybe I will get a little donut wheel for the boot.

priorities:

comfy daily drivers

grip

good in wet

quiet on motorway

I'm trying to find a good deal, hate to spend too much but want solid quality tyres

also open to suggestions on where to go (dunedin), bridgestone, tony's, beurepairs, etc ?

Cheers!

Hyperdrive.co.nz have some deals on atm.

Michellin PS4's are what i always recommend for the price, they are currently $852 for all 4 with the buy 3 and get 1 free deal.

Well you can get Goodyear Eagle F1 Directional 5 instead for $725.

Triplemax's are probably fine for the average person especially compared with your average Chinese etc crap, but depends on what your expectations in regards to performance and tire life are. I say the majority here favor performance and would spend the few hundred extra.
