Excellent, thank you for that Brent. I will be in touch if I can't find something in Christchurch. Kind of urgent fix as I need my car (I can't keep bringing the work truck home)

It's used all around for covering holes. It's a hard but maluble material (after 28 years its now brittle)

Very well could be. It's used over the cables which run along each side and over holes in the frame to prevent the carpet sinking. I might just use sound deadener to keep the shape.

E30 316i Manual Coupe, New Zealand new 1990 or maybe 1991

anyone know what this plug dangling here is for? everything appears to be connected, and because of location im going to guess something to do with charcoal canister or something. was this deleted from the factory due to our leaded fuel at the time the car was sold, or has someone taken it out at some point in its life? Whatever it is, i don't NEED it, i just want know!

Correct Andy, just part of the loom, normally cable tied out of the way when not used.

I have a similar plug and it is cable tied as well, except it is on the 735i.

Talk to a panel beater or a supplier. They replaced similar material on my car as shown in your photo. I am sure it was just sound deaden-er that they used.

Can anyone tell me what this pipe is? It seems to be leaking coolant/water where it connects to bottom of the intake manifold.

Any ideas?

Quick Question.

Are the rear windows in a E30 Convertible independent, IE can you lower them for back seat passengers/dogs yet have the fronts up and roof in place??

I know its an odd question but I have always wondered.
