Thats BS. My old Macbook Pro lasted 7 years without a service, so cost me nothing extra above its initial cost, and would have gone at least a few more years had i not spilled coffee on it. It still ran all the latest software, and had no issues. My replacement MBP should outlast the old one, since I'll be taking more care with my coffee now. I have a windows 10 based gaming computer, but using it for anything other than gaming its gross. My Apple is just so much better for daily use.

Have been receiving various parts and goodies for the car over the last couple of weeks. Engine mounts, Sump gasket and various parts for the job all arrived courtesy of fcpeuro. Various oils from local stores. Still need to grab a new sump plug and then find a time to drop the subframe as it's a big job. Changed the gearbox oil and diff oil over the weekend and also looked at the mounts and sump. Sump was still leaking like last time I looked at it ?. It seems to be a bit wetter than previously so is definitely needing a new gasket done. Drove about 500kms over the weekend after the oil changes and the gearshift notchiness, which has persisted since I purchased the car 11 months ago, is now totally gone. Really much smoother and cleaner and with the shifter bushings upgrade(and new trans mounts) its now exactly as it should be.

Something about that car looks weird; between the rear wheel placement (wrong offset?), exhaust tips and double spaced '1 3 0 i' badge it looks, well... odd. Or maybe it is just me.

Not a 130i, but there is a 120i at Pick-a-part Mangere at the moment, with the factory aero spoiler if anyone is looking for one. Also possibly a AC Schnitzer bodykit by the looks of it? I was there yesterday and it is still mostly complete... http://www.pickapart.co.nz/eziparts/Display_Vehicle.asp?PriceListID=0&VehicleID=7796&Location=pickapartconz&LocationID=3&VehicleDesc=BMW 120i

    1. Kyu, why the dread of AGM? Yes, with coding, you can run other types. But why, AGM saves weight. And those clever engineers specc'd them. 2. Why not replace the IBS? It's a common fault. There's even a recall abroad that isnt fully covered here.

iPhone 12 Pro Max on the way, typing this on a Macbook Pro ? What can I say, I like handsome computers, car doors that thud when they close and soft touch interior plastics ?

Maybe they have, haha. The guard was like that when I bought the car and I agree it looks terrible, it will be getting painted but I want to do the wheel arches first since I will have to cut them.

I'm not an expert, but my feeling is Facebook listing (e.g in E30 owners club pages) will be more realistic. Mint cars still sell quick for good money on Trade Me but then I think people see a mint manual listed then assume their tired auto 318i is worth $12k as a result. Join E30 Owners New Zealand Car Club on FB and put the feelers out.

I'm surprised by how much I don't hate that.
