I am now selling my NZ new E30 318, as I have purchased my next project, advertising here before I list it on Trademe I have done a substantial amount of work to this car over the last two years Heres a list, prior to my buying the car, had a reconditioned M42 motor fitted, extractors, I have replaced the complete exhaust system, upgraded the front brakes, with six cylinder calipers & vented brake discs, has new rear brake discs & pads, new rubber brakes hoses, has basket weaves with near new tyres, blue tooth stereo & new speakers, recoded drivers door lock, central locking now works, new engine mounts, gearbox mounts, colour coded mirrors, new sway bar drop links & bushes, front & rear, Monroe shocks all round, replaced chipped windscreen, I also imported, colour matched & fitted a fibreglass sunroof panel, no rust !! Have also done the speedo gears I have had the car certified for the engine upgrade & bigger brakes Has a brand new WOF & Registration Engine oil & Filter was replaced two weeks ago This car is fantastic to drive, as far as I am aware there is nothing to do to this car, get in, drive & enjoy it, like I have I am asking $15000.00 Any questions, or if you need more photos, let me know

The "Hand-Stitched Complete Leather Interior" option. Normally only the centre section of the steering wheel is leather wrapped, with the wheel remaining in black. Could be an individual spec seeing as the whole wheel is the same colour.

Got the bottom one off no trouble, top one I reckon is stuffed. Seems like the plastic isn't pushing those metal flaps out far enough so they're just jamming up against the ridge. I think I'll have to revert to violence but problem for another day. Didn't get away without dismantling the front end after all. Tried tilting the gearbox back to get access to all the bolts and disconnect it but 3 of the 4 E14 bolts just wouldn't budge and there was no room to swing a breaker bar around. Meant a few extra hours of mucking about dismantling everything but out she came. The AC condenser got into some weird yoga poses along the way but all stayed intact. Will be mating the harmonic balancer from this engine with the new rebuilt one to make the AC system work. The rest of the block and auto tranny are surplus to requirements if anyone is after any bits by chance. Knocked the newly-made zero emissions vehicle somewhat back together and rolled her out the way. Not sure I'm a big fan of the new lowrider stance though. Final tally as a 325 slug: Onwards & upwards.

No offense, but I think if your attitude resembles your second sentence there, then it's no longer the job for you and perhaps it is you in need of the counselling? Others have volunteered to step up and replace those who appear to have compassion fatigue. Perhaps split this thread out to the general discussion and see what others think? This chaps for sale thread needs tidying as we've trampled all over it. I think Ian's post was helpful to the OP who thought they were track use only and is/was selling for that reason.

My understanding is you can update them in the vehicle if you have an unsanctioned copy of ISTA but those non-dealer services (unless your indy has registered with BMW) will be deleted if the car is ever plugged in again at the dealer.

Well, this has gotten unexpectedly out of hand. I just want to sell these control arms... I don't really have a problem with what anyone has said, the initial replies were intended to be helpful, as for the rest, I don't know. Let me explain a bit further how I come to buy these and why I'd like to sell them. I have a 95 M3 which needs a new lower ball joint. I can't buy a ball joint and then I discovered 95 M3s have 'one off' control arms which must be purchased from BMW as no aftermarkets replacements are made (makes sense, very small market). I then found these control arms which cost slightly more than 1 BMW arm. I realized it was intended for track use but as there seems no other option I bought it. I should have done more research. A week later I found that I can buy aftermarket HD Meyle control arms which are fine to use as long as you replace both arms. Those Meyle arms have HD rubber bushings. That is my preferred option, though I think the chance of selling these is slim I figured it was worth a shot. The reason I am reluctant to put these on is that the car already has significant road noise and these, with the solid rear bushings, are going to make the noise worse. I'm old, I don't like road noise. However, I'm not rich so if they don't sell in a few weeks I will put them. I am wondering, could I use these control arms with regular HD bushings and the stock bushing mount? Anyone care to ring in on that option?

I think we all know what he means. Another thread that needs a clean up.

Finally got power to my new hoist. Excitedly I chucked each car on it to have a look. I think I was better off not knowing. The old Daihatsu 4WD needs every bush. Every single one. The AMG's rear tyres are through to the wires. Woops. And the sump is leaking. The 130 has an Exhaust leak. And a new oil leak. The S13 has many S13 issues. I'm too scared to put the E34 on there. It may never leave. Oh and the low profile lift jack.... yeah not even close. Going to modify that for sure.

Didn’t know lightbulbs spiked up in price. Anyone want 1 x new licence plate bulb for 5k ONO - I know what I got.

It is, but don’t let the facts get in the way of a click bait story. The parts cost is not insignificant, but putting that to one side, it’s the cost of handling and planning and balancing all the variety that racks up very quickly. Often viewed as an un-seen cost (as it’s outside old fashioned cost analysis methods) it has become very apparent to most manufacturers with the explosion of complexity over the last few years. Hence why pretty much EVERY company is now scrambling to dial back the number of choices. I’ve just paid the subscription for the heated seats in my E30 ‘vert so I could drive it more this winter. They don’t seem to make much difference tbh.

More to the point, I've never heard "Oh Lord, won't you buy me a a BMW?"

Not much of a rant but felt worth a share. Was browsing a listing for a random 330i when I came across this... wholesome exchange. I mean, my sense of humour is questionable at best but wtf man, this is not OK 😂
