e60's are brilliant, there's a tonne of computing power distributed around the car, in modules, that are dry and warm.... until there's a leak (which is *always* due to lack of maintenance).

Search out "so you've bought an e60" (it's a constantly updated PDF download from one of the American forums).

This guy tried to kill us a couple of years back. Narrowly missed him coming head on and then he hit a banked roundabout and flipped. Ran away, police dog found him. Another BA took power out to several properties here last week after falling off a corner and eating a power pole and another fell off the road on the same corner a month back. Falcon drivers 

I remember swapping from some pretty worn out RE01-R (anybody remember them) to something cheap and new that were on some wheels I'd picked up, this is 15 years and about 10 cars ago so don't remember what the tires were. The difference was startling, and not in a good way- the new cheap ones were appalling. I'll watch the video now and see if my evidence matches the theory...

$2500 for a two or three alphanumeric plate, others are much more affordable (lol) for 4, 5 or 6 alphanumerals ($999) or your chosen ABC123 format at a mere $599.

I didn't see the value at $400 years ago, two and a half grand is just taking the piss.

No care, no responsibility. Amazingly, people get fired from this company for being hopeless, so they do have standards... Somewhere!

There are issues with the PA66 type plastic used. Ambient outdoor temps are meaningless when engine internal temps exceed 100°C which is outside where PA66 is stable.

I agree, BMW are letting themselves down. From their perspective however it has failed outside the warranty period so there is no issue- and it is an 11 or 12 year old car.

I've had 2 Singapore E39s which gave no problems but tend to agree in this instance caution is warranted especially seeing as what you are looking at isn't rare or anything.

I'll put in another good word for a petrol Mazda 6 wagon. 20-25K will get you a facelift 2015-2018 model with modest km on the clock. Don't buy a diesel one, they are Mazda's E9X 320i. We have had a 2nd gen Mazda 6 wagon for 5 years and 180,000km and it has proven to be cheap to run, simple to maintain, room enough for 3 car seats and drives well enough. Later generations are quite a step up in interior finish.

Thats nice, really like it- I'd take a 6 cyl over an 8 cyl variant. A factory suspension refresh would be just what it needs, too many aftermarket kits are aimed at boyracers (young thrash drivers??) and are excessively low, crashy and actually make it handle worse. New standard suspension is really good; new, fully refreshed Motorsport suspension is awesome. Have always found the white nylon cup that the gearstick sits in is worn out and/or broken, big improvements to be had replacing this one part. I found a strut brace just got in the way for the very small peace of mind it gave against deforming strut towers, it's really not a performance mod.

Very conventional styling. Do hydrogen fuel cells generally produce much heat?

How does BMW plan to implement oil filter housing and sump gasket oil leaks in it's non-ICE portfolio?

How does BMW, and Germany in general, plan to generate hydrogen now that the Russians are turning off the taps on their gas pipelines?

We had a couple of claims with AA over the years (probably 10 years) and no issues. Yes they do low ball your value every year and I was always aware they might send any damaged car to somewhere hopeless, however I really liked their policy where you can purchase a vehicle or damage one you are borrowing and be covered automatically if you already have vehicle cover with them. 

Ended up with FMG because public liability, business interruption etc package was cheaper, but would recommend AA.
