There are meny Videos on this Youtube Channel on police Radar i think you will find they work a lot better then you think they do Eg: one guy on here says he thinks it takes them time to get a speed Reading and that they have to be close. fact it takes about 1 or 2 seconds to get a speed reading. fact it's not legal in new zealand To Jam Police Radar (The Stalker Sl mounted in there Partrol Cars) and the passive jammers dont work another fact they can detect you along way away even with out seeing your car. i have the dynatron D3600 the installers didnt install it very well it came with the car when i got it. it came with a red LED light but i changed it to the Bright Blue warning light i got it from uniden and installed it myself very eazy to install only two wires. yep lights up the inside of the car at night doesnt use alot of power. auto immobilse about 26 seconds is abit of a pain but i dont complan becuase at the end of the day it's only doing its job keeping your car safe.it has sensors on all 4 doors as my car is a sadan the boot and the bonet glass break sensor. code hoping remote makeing it harder for thiefts to get your transmitor code becuase it changes code all the time. the reason why some alarms go off when trucks go past is because they have a tilt sensor or a shock sensor when cars with big bore exorst or big trucks go past they transmet virbration and thats with sets them off. (In my opinoin) in a car alarm go for car alarms with Pin Override becuase you need the pin to override it unless you can bypass it via the wires. DONT go for car alarms with a Velet Switch or override switch because all the thieft needs to do is break the ignition witch is what they normaly do then push the Velet switch and the immobilser and alarm is bypassed very eazy so spend more money and get the ones with the pin override. another good thing to get is a back up battary so if the theift disconnects the main battary the alarm will still sound. i believe the more immobilsers the better the Dynatron D600 has Two. the immobilsers are 40amp and above i think ment to be good my Boss got a mongoose alarm but she doesnt use it on account of it gos off all the time its a 5 start one. so cant see the point in haveing an alarm that is too censative then you dont wanna use it. because has it crys wolf all the time. my Next alarm im looking at geting a Viper with remote start mainly because i like the idear of the pager the alarm will page you if anyone trigers the alarm the the proxsinity sensors seem real good. MY bottem line Answer is Go With Dynatron and get a good alarm installer. the last place with got our alarm installed was auto eletric city they done a ten out of ten job cost 400 dollar to put it in but well worth the 400 dollars

some stores have stoped selling radar detectors but still the law has not been passed is the bottem line. i think they will come up with a way to detect the beltronics sti and i think they will install RDD's in both unmarked and marked police cars. how ever i dont think it's fair that the police are allowed to monitor us but we are not allowed to monitor them

Just wondering did they ban the use of cell phones in cars well driveing in nz? i waz in aussie at the time. anyways geting back to the Subject i think in some case's the radar detectors can save you sach as when you the cop has is radar on and he is comeing around a cerv and your radar beam hits his before his beam directy hits your car. i think that would work as i have read they need to hit you directly to get a speed reading. i have had this one moment when i beleve my Radar Detector saved my ass my radar detector is a (Beltronics Rx55pro) by the way. i have it mounted above my rear vison miror i was late for work and i start at 5am i was going 90 in a 70 k zone. and the cop was up the road from me faceing towards me he was parked up on the side of the road before i got around the corner i wouldnt see him my radar said Ka ban and the lowest singal strength i jamed on my breaks and slowd to 50 k and went str8 past him he didnt put his lights on and i got no ticket man i was lucky. as a rule i normaly dont speed in that area it was just because i was late for work. now i think it will be sh*t if nz goverment bans radar detectors i think they save lifes by reminding drivers that the cops are out there and they are monitoriing you so thats allways on your mind with a radar detector. i think if nz would ban radar detectors i would go with that beltronics Sti and do a custom install and also as a precation i would switch off my radar if i picked up a cop thats the best you can do if they did ban radar detectors it would use up more police time because they would need to buy RDD for every new stealth radar detector that came out a never ending war i mean they still catch people it's not like they arent makeing any money at all
