The $450 ones on trademe? They look good. Think the offset is in the ballpark, I had a quick look at the specs online yesterday.

My fcp order had a 3 week stopover in Aus, hopefully they've got that sorted out.

This looks like an awesome option. I'm going to message them and see if they have any without the stripe. Thanks!

Do you have a link for the wheel cover? How much thicker is it over stock? Yours looks a bit thinner than others I've looked at, which make the wheel look quite chunky.

Yeah, I thought it would wear better, plus match the other bmw alcantara pieces I've got.
But now I've ordered a bunch of interior pieces the only thing that will be looking worn is the steering wheel. Which I now want to either repair(I need to investigate this) or replace. A replacement is likely to come with an insert, so I'll look around and see what's out there.
I've got 40 days to add the insert to my Schmiedmann order anyway 😅

The one I linked to is genuine BMW, it's exactly the one I purchased, and they're not handed, the LHD and RHD steering wheels are exactly the same part, as are the fittings and accessories.
If you like it, pull the trigger with confidence, even the product page says it's genuine BMW.
The original piece is listed as both lhd/rhd on schmiedmann.
The Alcantara one says lhd only, so I was reluctant to order it even though I couldn't work out what was different. Good to know it fits.

Its Left hand drive only for some reason. It was in my cart for about 6 months before I realised.
The genuine bmw one on there(which I nearly ordered) says both lhd and rhd.

Had the car into the local dealer for the two outstanding recalls on the 130i. Takata Airbag and the Heater line.
Both got done and the new airbag certainly looks new 😂
Gave the car a thorough clean inside since I haven't treated the leather since last Summer. The leather cleaner/conditioner is still drying in the above pic.
I've ordered a bunch of cosmetic parts for the car so got some parcels on the way to refresh worn or damaged parts both interior and exterior. Its just a few things that let the car down from looking 100% like the front kidneys and a couple others.
I only ordered now because there's a 6 week lead time from Germany through the dealer for one part, and a 40 day wait from Schmiedmann for another part. Hopefully they'll turn up in time for Xmas/New Year.
Only thing I'm looking out for now is the steering wheel insert/cover which you can see peeling above in the pic. And maybe a newer looking steering wheel if the price is good.

I wonder if they'll get close to the asking price....
Someone has offered 10k and another 11k. Given the condition(in photos) and kms plus rarity of the colour/year, 11k is pretty good buying.
Must admit when I saw the email about it I nearly called them but then I saw it was an auto 😔

Did you receive a recall notice for your airbag(s)? I have not.
I've received 2 letters about airbags and one about the heater line over 18 months.
This is the third booking I've made for the recall/s, first one was cancelled as they didn't have the airbag in stock. Second one I never got notified that the booking was confirmed, they were supposed to let me know the parts were available and never got back to me. So I left it for 6 months or so.
This time I rang and spoke to the parts guy and service guy to confirm they had it in stock and they got me in within a couple weeks of calling. New ownership at the dealer now too since I was last there, they all were pretty good to deal with.

Did some part ordering while I was at the dealer, a replacement idrive plastic surround, which was pretty reasonably priced.
Also finally placed the Schmiedmann order for some cosmetic parts that I've been sitting on for more than a year, after getting the dealer prices lol. Xmas present for the car, 40 day wait for one of the parts 👀

Took the car into Continental today for both Airbag and Heater valve line recalls.
Saw a tasty white 130i on the way in with a JUH? license plate, had an exhaust and black rear spoiler.
When I pulled into the dealer another guy was there with his Black 130i, auto with black wheels, had a bit of a chat about them. Don't know if either of them are on here.

Absolutely anecdotal but I've seen a few more noisier than usual 1 series around locally this year. All turned out to be 130i with various mods, I'd seen two 130i previously out in the wild the last couple of years. I'd say they're getting slightly more popular.
Hyper local to me there's been 3 new ones roaming around, even seen the same guy in a 130i checking out my car a couple of different times while it was parked outside the house.

I've looked at that a couple of times, it's pretty sweet

Don't know about well maintained, only description is new tyres, but certainly very cheap.

I'm literally about to order CH11S and a replacement power steering reservoir from fcpeuro, good to have confirmation it'll make it.
How much goo did you order @Jacko? Is the one quart enough?
-
Mines 11-12L/100km but I've not driven the car much so when I do its with a heavy foot on shorter distances and/ or testing after changing something. So it always needs to be driven through the Italian tune up route up and down the hills.
If I'm going 100kmh it's around 8.5L/100km
Purchase/ownership of a 130i today would suggest you're more of a "spirited" driver.

Took the 130i for a good drive this afternoon after it had been sitting for a month. Fires up straight away with the new starter. I was quite surprised during the drive by how the engine was much more eager to rev and get up and go. Just felt really strong through the rev range.
I'd swapped the intake boot to a Turner Motorsports silicone boot and cleaned the throttle body while I had it off but wasn't expecting them to make any difference performance wise. Definitely more intake noise, it sounds great so far.
Only other things I can think that caused it to run better is the battery was disconnected so perhaps a reset of adaptations? and coils/plugs were removed and checked.
Anyone else swapped their intake boot and noticed any performance improvements?

Idrive trim and steering wheel trim pieces with the lovely bmw soft plastic coming off.
If you've got a spare binnacle lid? I could even take the whole centre console through to the arm rest with everything attached. I had a quick look and my drink holder and arm rest have seen better days.
