  1. I will have a look, Cheers
  2. Hm okay I for some reason was under the belief that it was the mounts for the gearbox that would be crooked however now realise that its the engine "angle" that would twist the whole gearbox. Do you know anywhere I could find a G220? I've been searching TM and FB Marketplace but haven't been able to find any other than whole conversions in unknown condition for around 2k Thankyou though, I appreciate the reply
  3. Does anyone know the fitment of a M20 gearbox to a M52b25? Car in question is an E36 323i I've tried searching and I'm sure that its been discussed a lot before however the general consensus from what I have seen online is that an M20 will bolt up to an M52 however will need to have custom mounts made due it it sitting on an angle? I am unsure whether my current clutch or driveshaft would fit. Reason for M20 box (please correct me if I'm wrong {probably am}) is that there seem to be a lot more of them around and they are a lot cheaper than E36 box's which are slightly different? from my understanding. I very much appreciate any responses on here as my current box G220 (If I've identified it correctly) has decided it doesn't really want to be a gearbox anymore and the only box's (or rebuild cost) I have seen is $3500 and up.
  4. You guys have both given me a lot to think about and a lot of different options, I think for now I might try and make a set of ITB's up, test my luck at that, I am definitely still interested in stroking what I have to get a little more. More so that I can freshen up what I have, just gone past 300k so might try give it a bit more life (still goes strong and pulls well however there are some odd sounds starting) Might even try stroker with ITB's, bit of a rip off M3, maybe even put an M badge on there
  5. Just to be annoying again, I cant seem to find anything online about it but is it really as simple as dropping in M54B30 rods, crank and pistons into either B25/28? do you need to change the cams or would they still work? I think I've convinced myself that it surely cannot be that straightforward and there is some BMW witchcraft in there somewhere.. Sorry for peppering you with questions, just trying to learn as much about it as I can
  6. Thank you guys, that clears up a lot of clouded thought I had with it, I have been thinking about what to do to my poor old bimmer, swap in a crank and rods out of something then get the benefit of a (sorta) new engine and maybe try my luck at making some ITB's
  7. Sorry if I have posted this in the wrong place.. (This may sound not so smart) After looking at the bore and stroke of a M52 2.5 & 2.8 is the 2.8 just simply a stroked 2.5, no other differences between the two? Sounds stupid (I know) but I've been thinking about it for a while..
  8. Arctic Grey or Arktisgrau I think is its german name for it.. needs a damn good clean at the moment so that might be it XD
