Owning an E46, I saw the post at http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/50157-diy-e46-retrofit-infrared-to-radio-frequency-remote-control/ that apparently covers my case and seems to contain all the info necessary to do the change desired. However, I myself am not prepared to do such a thing. Does anyone know someone reliable who will do that, conditions to be negotiated? The region would be AKL.

Used between the MAF sensor housing to the throttle body. Allows for a dramatic increase in airflow over the stock intake tube. Smooth out the incoming air to the throttle body. Also can be used to upgrade the Stage 1 design to Stage 2. $100 shipped

Has anyone had a proper look at this car? Would like to buy an 2003+ CD head unit for my recently acquired E46 330i. Prefer to keep the stock look. Occasionally want to play CDs. Boot changer is a hassle to load and looks to be a bit unreliable, Also want to fit a aux in jack for background music on long trips. Have the BMW kit to fit this already. Would really like to buy a Dynavin N6 but have unconfirmed fears about the price of the unit and HVAC controls adapter required to fit it.

Hi there, I own a 330Ci convertible 2005. The genuine stereo is a BMW business professional with tape and a 6* CD changer. Some time ago I replaced the CD changer connection with a "Soundplicity BMW iPod / iPhone Integration Kit" to connect an iPod. That works fine so far. Now you get car stereos with BlueTooth which also support (i)Phones for handsfree telephonie. I would be interested whether someone already replaced the genuine radio (1 DIN high) with another car stereo in a E46? Some things I would like to achieve - if possible: the steering wheel controls should still work with the stereo. I also saw bezels to install a standard stereo, but they are all off centre. I found a "E46 Centered Single-DIN Headunit Bezel" on mybimmer.net. Does someone know whether that (or something similar) is available in NZ? Any hints, suggestions, photos are much appreciated. Some time ago I acquired some very nice suspension parts for our 320D but for a number of reasons it now seems unlikely we'll be using them. Mainly, Mrs M's arthritis isn't getting any better and it may be pragmatic to buy a vehicle which is a little taller so she can get in and out more easily. This is a pair of AC Schnitzer sway bars (anti-roll bars, as we of English origin call them ). They are made for ACS by Eibach. Vivid Racing list the ACS bars at $1384 (less discounts and so on); the Eibach bars are listed at $700. (Both plus shipping and so on.) You may not be able to see it clearly in the pic, but both names are clearly printed on both bars. Part numbers are 313546311 (front) and 313546312 (rear). The ACS p/n for the set is 313546310. The Eibach p/n for the set is E2066-320. I'm told these will fit all E46s, except (perhaps) the M3. Front bar is 27mm; rear bar is 21mm. Don't fit just the front - fit both. Your car will understeer if you fit just the front bar. What's in the pic is what is included, so you get the links and all bushes too. All bushes look to be in good condition. Asking $350 - half new listed and discounted price..

Hi guys, I have a full set of Bilstein B8 sport dampers for E48 sedan and coupe, would work great with m-sport springs or lowered springs, not recommended on standard springs (non m-sport) Fronts has built-in bump stoppers and you will need to re-use your rear bump stopers. part numbers: 1x 35-115069 1x 35-115076 and 2 x 24-026987 (rear) $1650 pick up from Birkenhead or buyer pays shipping, will sell until mid Aug. borrowed pics from internet since they are brand new anyway. Just bought a e46 330i touring. Will be the family runabout so don't worry, not fitting cup holders to a purist drift spec machine. So iv put my key fob through the wash, i took the key apart and left it in a bag of rice. After letting it dry for a few days i tried to reprogram it using the suggestions on the internet. I put it in the ignition, turned it to the accessory position and then removed it, held down the lock button and pressed the unlocked button 3 times, the red LED flashes 11 times and nothing else happens, its still not working, any suggestion please. E46 2000 320i.

Hey guys I am selling a 1999 318i Bmw Auto with 89,xxxKms on it. The exterior is in excellent condition but with only a little bit of nicks here and there. Interior is also in excellent condition. The motor is in good condition and is still running mint. Got a fresh VTNZ Wof till 12/07/15 and a 3 month rego. Only problem with the car is that CD player doesn't work but the radio works fine Wanting $5200 ONO. I am open to offers, and located on the North Shore. Hey Guys So I'm new here and just wanted to start a thread for my BMW e46 i recently brought a month back, This is my third bimmer i have owned and I just Absolutely love it! compared to my E30 sedan and my old E36 coupe, This is a 318i tiptronic.. yes i know its only a 318i and automatic but im only 17 years old and have a automatic restricted license and cant effort the gas for a bigger engine at the moment haha bigger engine and manual conversion is on the list of to-do's! -Background on the car- I brought the car about a month ago from Rockstarcar dealership on the northShore. GREAT dealership! the car has a 3 year full mechanical warranty. Has had one previous owner and has only done 140ks I haven't got set plans at the moment of what i'm going to do just living life to every paycheck. What i do know what i will do is, New rims unsure what type,Angel eyes,lower/adjustys , carbon fibre badges Without further here are the pics i got when i first got it

Hi Guys, This is my first post on these forums so hopefully i dont sound too stupid but here goes... So i have absolutely fallen in love with the gunmetal Style 65 rims off the E39's. However, i have a E46 with Style 68's currently and cannot for the life of me find replicas to fit my car. I have seen some photos of E46's showing off the Style 65's but none i can buy. Would anyone know how i can source some/get them made/provide ways to fit the style 65's overcoming the offset problem without looking ridiculous? Iv attached a photo off of google, and the forum it came off has zero information as well (NOTE: Attached is obviously not my car, just making sure im being legit here) ANY help would be greatly appreciated. I disconnect my battery from the boot to get it charged by my mechanic, and now the boot is complete locked. I can't entered the boot by the boot key hole because the lock is broken (from when someone tired to break in) Can I some how connect the battery up directly to the engine bay directly to just get the boot open or does anyone have a alternative method? Cheers

I came across some details on 'upsizing' your tyres and was wondering about this. Stock is 225/40/19 is 255/35/19 but previous owner has installed 235 / 275. Is there much advantage to moving away from the stock sizing? Anyone have any experience / suggestions? My understanding of 'upsized' options: Cheers
