  2. Hi all, had my car since October 2016. 330e F30 new to NZ. Pretty stock at the moment, but will add some rims if i can find a suitable replacement for a busted one. Looking to add some tweaks to it shortly
  3. Shout out to promo and recommendation to all for any coding/tuning/re-mapping/key programming etc in Wellington area... Had issues with my daughters newly purchased 2007 E87 120i with key access not working - car would start OK but could not lock/unlock from remote... Had tried Beveridge's and even dealer without much luck. ...dropped the car to promo who found that car was OK, but both keys supplied were wrong type (correct freq but not CAS3 compatible) - he managed to find a new OEM key & programmed it - works fantastic! Was about to give up & install 3rd party alarm just for unlocking convenience - but that would mean two remotes etc. While talking promo also mentioned he could look at my other car - a 2008 E90 335D - which had previously been remapped in Auckland, but has big issue with HUGE soot clouds when exercising right-foot... I mean "James Bond would be proud" smokescreen. Only started being an issue once blocked DPF was changed... Anyway, promo suggested he could load factory tune to confirm issue was not more sinister - which he did and problem solved! Have not really noticed too much power loss as yet, but might be back to promo to get new tune loaded before long... Thanks promo - recommend to all
  4. Hey team, I'm a bit new to the forums and have had my e82 135i for about 4 months now. I was wondering if anyone within the Wellington region has the MHD wireless adapter I could borrow to get my car back up and running? I stupidly couldn't wait and tuned my car with a shitty ebay cable. Managed to get it to stage 1 but I wanted to change to stage 1+ with 98Ron but in the process have failed a write. Now the cable wont work as well and fails to send a packet through close to finishing. Battery charger is fine/running an idling car while tuning. Thanks in advance!

  10. Hi everyone, My name is Gregg and I'm currently in the market for a BMW 335i Station Wagon. I have around 20k, is this reasonable to get a mint example? I have a couple of question, where is the best place to look for aftermarket items in NZ? Any things I should be looking out for when purchasing a 335i Wagon? During my search, I have been looking for the manual, but I seem to be hitting a brick wall. I have been researching and found that changing to a single turbo, with a remap id the best way to gain additional power? Thanks Gregg

  20. Talking with a number of the Wellington guys last weekend at the Barry's garage meet, there seemed to be quite a lot of interest in a track day for people to have a go. The Constructors Car Club are running their annual track event on Saturday the 23rd of September. For anyone not going on the Whangamomona road trip, this would be a great event, with heaps of track time for a very reasonable entry fee. With permission, I've copied the event details from the organisers below: All Wellington motorsport club members are invited to this event... The Constructors club and MG club track day at Manfield, Saturday 23 September 2017, regs and entry form are now available for downloading at...https://www.hansonconsulting.co.nz/CCC/2017 CCC and MGCRR Track Day Entry and Regs.pdf This event is using the full 3km track at Manfeild and is intended as a low key opportunity for folks to try out driving on the track, learn some skills, test their car and have a rewarding day out. There will be tutorials available, slow sessions, fast sessions and one session with slalom sections coned out on the track. A second drivers briefing at lunch time is planned for drivers who only want to do the afternoon session. $90 if prepaid on-line or $100 cash on the day. Contact details for the organisers are given in the supplementary regs in the link above.
  21. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=1420024160 2007 E90 323i Motorsport $13K 94KMs Blue leather interior - clearly aftermarket rather than 'individual' as build sheet says "Stoff Blue Shadow/alcant./anthrazit"
  22. http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=1386917501 $12K 152KMs Looks tidy Sports suspension and DSC RED LEATHER WITH WOOD TRIM If you want to be different and you can't stand boring - then this might be a good option. I can't decide if I like this or not. I think I do but it would need a carbon wrap for the trim. What do you guys think? Bring on the opinions!
  23. http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=1369090051 price unclear (starting bid $7k) 195kms 'Sonderpolsterung' individual black and red contrast leather interior Active heated comfort seats Hi-Fi pro audio Bit of clear-coat fade Has had a bunch of important maintenance/replacement done Pictures are a bit rubbish but I like this
  24. http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=1350621157 $24K 62KMs "The PPK option increases the power output to 240kw (up 15kw from standard) and torque to 450Nm (up 50Nm), available from 1,500rpm. 0-100 times are also decreased. It also adds a nice burble to the exhaust on over-run (fantastic sound when in sport or using the paddles). The upgrade includes a software reflash to reduce lag and shift times; a second radiator; new intake; uprated cooling fan; and oil cooler. This vehicle was also optioned with the uprated BMW Performance yellow brembo big-brake kit, suspension, silver decal and badging, carbon fibre spoiler and interior trim - and coolest of all, white LED lighting pack (including halos)." Did wonder if this was John @e30ftw but TradeMe member ref appears different ... Looks like an awesome vehicle - some of the pics are very nicely done too
  25. Hi everybody! Interested in peoples' opinions around the BMW Car Club ... Is it worth belonging? Where does it have momentum? How do they organise things if they don't have anything like BimmerSport? What's the relationship between BimmerSport and the Club- is it 'competitive' or complementary? BimmerSport is a fantastic community and has increased my enjoyment of the BMW experience significantly. I don't want to do anything that works against that.... I'm asking because I'm considering joining the Club and maybe trying to kick start it again in Wellington - and I reckon there's a good complementary proposition that could get extra members flowing in both directions. BimmerSport is the open community for enthusiasts - no joining fees, no car ownership actually required - you just have to be interested BMW Car Club is a club focused on 'real life' activities and has an official BMW association. Events have rules and standards and there's some funding to do stuff. May attract some different people ... I pinged them and they'd appreciate help in getting Welly up and going again. Is this a dumb idea? Is anybody interested in doing the same thing and helping? @Olaf @skidz
