  1. For the S54 experts out there, my 03.5 E46 M3 (SMG) has gone into limp mode. I've been told by the dealership to replaced and have replaced the ignition coils, spark plugs, egt, all of the O2 sensors, fuel filter, and fuel pump. The car still doesn't let me go past 3k rpm while on load. The car later let me go past the 3k rpm mark after I replaced a new fuel pump but it wouldn't let me go past the 4.5k mark while on load. The shift lights would craw up to the 4.5k mark like you're hitting the rev limiter. The car drives fine and limp mode would only kick in when I floor the accelerator pedal (while at or near the second click). Would drive fine again after shutting the engine off. No lights on the dash as well. I've spent thousands trying to fix this problem and they still couldn't fix it. Would this be anything related to the TPS? Asked them about it a few times but they told me that they couldn't identify any fault codes.
  2. Hey guys, Sooo.. I'm having an issue where i've noticed my BMW e46 "2001" 330I going into limp mode. It happened twice, both times where i was slowing down suddenly. The first time it happened, i pulled over and switched it off then started it back up and that fixed the problem.. it ran fine and everything but it happened again while coming to an abrupt stop and the "switching the car off and waiting for a couple seconds" method didn't work. My transmission shifts fine, never had any issues, no delay nothing. My car's fuel consumption has been terrible since that happened, it was a bit over quarter tank ..while being parked and just by starting every now and again.. it's dropped dramatically to almost empty. there are no engine lights, just the DSC light which been on a long time before the Transmission error light ..my brakes fluid dropped dramatically also about 2 months ago where it's gotten spongy but still stops the car ..i just need to press a lil lower ..we filled the brake fluid to the max line ..and closely observed it for any drop but there were none to this day.. idk what happened ..but i'm still in limp mode... i've ordered a scan tool as to pin point what exactly is happen ..car only ran 96000 K.. any advise?
  3. Hi there, I’m new on this forum. I have a 318i 2002. I’m having a issue in automatic transmission. When I start to drive the car after a cold start, rpm suddenly goes bit higher. Then the transmission error occurs and shifts are becoming hard. Can feel them really hard. However, once I stop the engine and restart the car, this error and hard shifts go away. Car would shift as normally. Does anyone have idea on what could be the issue? Could it be a bad MAF? No check engine light so far. And I did change the transmission fluid and filter as well. But still issue is there. Thanks in advance.
