M3AN E36 M3 PLOG (Project Log)

Recommended Posts

Well, this is escalating fast...

Rear-Seats-01.jpg

Fabric panels to be replaced with M Rain, I'll leave the leather, it'll match the door cards that I don't yet have. Need a seatbelt, should be easy.

$12.50 all up - thanks Lucan! :)

I suspect it will require a cert even though the bases I want are designed to couple the SRx's to the E36, are genuine Recaro and have belt receptacles built in.

The question is, will the WoF people even be able to tell they're not stock...

I will be able to now that you have told me hahaha

lol - I thought of that as I posted but also know you'd notice it immediately! I was just thinking you might be too awed to care. ;)

Sorry dude, matte paint just ruins BBS's IMO. Bloody good wheels for the money though

And finally... after much delay and procrastination my wheels are done and I'm very happy with the result. I still need new centre cap inserts but they've been ordered from Germany and should be here in the next few weeks. There are no silver inserts available any more so I need to make some more decisions when my black ones arrive.

This is a subtle shadow chrome, slightly less shadow and slightly more chrome than the OEM e39 M5 wheels. My photography skills don't really do them justice.

Centre caps just in, must admit I think they look awesome. Not too fond of the fake carbon fibre look but I didn't have an option and it can't be seen from a distance. I also thought the lettering was going to be gold but stoked to find that it's silver.

Complete... :)

I've got a few of them, don't think I have 4. But they don't fit over my valves properly IIRC and I didn't get them painted.

You've just reminded me of them, I might try and find them.
