1987 Bmw 320i 4 Door restoration

Recommended Posts

I just brought my E30 320i from turners auctions for rather cheap but I can see why! There is bad rips on the drivers seat and rear seat doesn't look to flash either. I think I will replace all the seats and door trims to match, Im thinking black leather? There is also multiple small dings and rust patches around the car but nothing a little panel and paint work wont fix! After getting the car in nice condition I will probably look at lowering it a little and getting some nice wheels(currently on bottle caps). Also gonna look at some anti sway bars etc. I will upload some pics of it this weekend but here are the turners auctions one. Already looks much better then these pics after a thorough clean inside and out. As well as getting rid of those awful seat covers!

Paint looks good!

Are you going to do the engine bay at all? What are the wheel specs?

Thanks mate, My engine has 260,XXXk's on it so when that goes I might paint the engine bay whilst doing an engine swap. The bronzit in the engine bay isn't too intrusive though so it really isn't too bad. My wheels are MSR 229's 15x8 +25 and tyres are 195x50 I think. I have brought 40mm lowering springs to decrease the wheel gap which I will put in there sometime this week.

Aren't m20s meant to go forever if you look after them properly?

Love the blue - I would like my E39 Touring to be that colour - much nicer than standard BMW Silver ! ( yawn )

Keep up the good work, project is progressing well.
