Shanes colours in Papakura hooked me up with some colour matched high temp enamel, gave lots of good advice as well.

All cleaned up, then etch primed. Have the new decals ordered, so once they turn up its time to paint them weird yellow :)

Decals are a few weeks away, and apparently I want to stick them on an hour after the paints on, so seals and pistons in and Ill remask it while waiting for the postman.

Painted them Phoenix Yellow.. and thought the colour looked weird... So then redid them in straight yellow. No clear yet, but they're certainly yellow.

Looking like brakes... courier man is drip feeding me parts...

Ended up going for brembo sport coated rotors (slotted/dimpled) for the rear. Options for the rear end are slim pickings due to the odd size. Front end is Zimmerman coated (slotted/drilled), went for Brembo sport NAO ceramic pads and HEL stainless lines.

Awesome, i got Zimmerman rotors recently also, love the look of them withe Z-Coating

Be interested to hear what you think of those rotors and ceramic pads.

My Pedal feel was very soft afterwards. Somethnig which is well documented on other forums, attributed to bedding in period or a faulyty ABS pump / Module....bit if a difference there!

im still bedding mine in and plan to do some agressice bedding in this week to improve pedal feel. up side is once the pedal is depressed enought  the braking is really nice and smoot.

Also , love the color of the Calipers

Pretty sure the pads currently in the stock brakes on mine are ceramic ATEs, and they bite pretty well, and Ive never had them fade during spirited driving.... I looked at all the fancy metallic pads but then decided brake dust will make me sad, so went ceramic again. Looks pretty easy to change pads out for something more aggressive for track day as well.

Nice one Chris. I would be interested to know how they sounded with those extra blocks removed (I'm assuming they're harmonic dampers of some description). I think the calipers look better with them removed.

Yeah, Im pretty sure they are a harmonic thing, they're heavy steel, either for noise or for a vibration at a set resonance? No idea.

All done, just waiting on the stainless lines now.

Cars at 265000km now, thinking the next project will be to get myself a N52B30 long block and rebuild it with MILVS, and some nice headers, and a BPC tune. Maybe even swap engines first and rebuild the current one, it runs mint but Id like to see what a 300,000km N52 looks like inside.

Such an awesome project! Well done on getting this far! Do BPC still do tunes and MILVS? I was under the impression they stopped? Worse case scenario you could get a used MILVS set and a custom tune at Torque Solutions? Are you thinking a custom exhaust manifold or something OTS?

Yup - https://www.bimmermilvs.com/ and the guy who was the guru N52 tuner at BPC has setup his own shop, cant find the url now though. Something like this fabricated locally in stainless I rekon. https://www.brintechcustoms.com.au/all-products/n52-custom-exhaust-headers

Please try them without the knobs on. You may find they work/feel/sound fine and look better.

Hand brake needs adjusting bad, and still feels like there is a little air in them still, but they definitely look the ducks nuts.

Good old fashioned bedding in/back road abuse today. They work nice, no squeeks/squeeling/weirdness. Bite hard and predictably, more feel than stock, and I couldnt get them to fade on the road (I could make the old pads start to fade on same road), pretty impressive for ceramic... couldnt really ask anymore out of a road pad!

Tomorrow is about 12 hours driving in one day (Akl-New plymouth-Wanganui return), will see how they work down the coast

http://www.acromann.com/ however the process was hilarious, I logged in and ordered, then got a confirmation email and all the personal details of some poor guy in Italy, and the details of his Ducati sticker order. So I logged out, and logged back in again and got the personal account of a guy in Germany ordering Porsche windscreen banners. Few emails back and forth with the acromann guy and the right thing did turn up, took a few weeks though (from HK)

If you can find somewhere else to get them, Id try that first.
