Recommended Posts

Bought her. Rego lapsed. M50b25. Manual. Nz new.3,15 Lsd???. No sunroof?. Some sort of headers, no cats and a free flowing exhaust that sounds freakin sweet. What a pleasure to drive!! Plan is to get her re vin'd. Use her for abit, shave the kak off her and chuck the Ls in late Jan . ....?...20181103_193736.jpg.3ede4e7a6e15af0384027163a1d59a14.jpg

A colour coded can came with the car so I am going to do a quick spray on the Lf guard R door and boot lid just for the re vin. The gears were abit stiff and saw that the slave had a wee bit too much off moisture around it.

The list gets longer but  things do get ticked off...

Looks a good score.

You have the ability to get some of your money back on the parts you take out too.

L72(6.0lt Ls2 variant) in the Ute sounds wild. Not deep enough as I'd prefer it...but close.

Ideal exhaust note that suits the owner.

A V8 awakening when fired up...gets abit quiter when the catts close up...then a roar when revd...and crackles on deceleration...freakin lovely!!!???

Got some mild headers. Performance cats and modified the stock V6 exhaust.

....the 36 will definitely roar more...and with 2 exhaust catback valves....Yea boi!!

Shall be interesting to see how you get on compared to the project I'm doing.

Always cool to see how others put things together.

In hind sight I would have used an Commodore engine over the 1UZ 4.0 I put into my old E36 coupe, was too much effort for a arguably low power output.

Thanks homs. I wanted to do see whats the best a spray job with a can up to date. Stuff the excuse of spray angle and pressure and spitting paint blobs...make the best effort with what you got...thats what I go by. She came out quite awwrrrite for a rough job . ??. I will make a video soon to show how easy it is.

They measured the brake rotors?

And bump stops are not a matter for a WoF, many cars come from the factory without them.

How do you not notice missing wheel bolts... on all wheels? lol.

If a vehicle comes with bump stops then it needs bump stops for the WOF. They can also fail you on brake rotors if they suspect they are undersized, it is then up to you to prove otherwise

BTW the car looks great with the repaint, but I am biased as I think E36 Coupes are one of the best looking BMW's.
