especially for someone who already has a e30 to throw it in. Butt seems too cheap? Maybe the motor has a slight knock or low compression?

Maybe. If you don’t have a donor then add probably $2000+ to repair that rust if you want it done properly and not half assed, that’s if you can’t do it yourself then great. Then replace boot seals around lid and lights and aerial. That textured paint around where the rust is doesn’t look original so could be hiding a lot more. Plus all the other stuff it could add up fast.

It could be a half decent deal but could also be a money pit, at the end of the day it’ll be a 4 door engine swapped e30, cool for a select few but probably not $20k+ like he states as it’s certainly not mint even if no rust.

I believe thats original at least for non bodykit facelift E30s, my car (and other unresprayed examples I've seen) have it on the front and rear valances. Its like a sort of textured anti chip paint.

That parts car hes selling on marketplace for $3k is kinda interesting too, comes on 15in basketweaves which probably alone are worth more than half the asking if theyre in decent condition

I’m aware of the anti chip paint, it just looks a bit odd. Like it’s not original. Looks like overspray on the tow hook too

It's probably been resprayed and redone, a cheap rust patch over. Usually its black and not colour matched, plus it does look an unusual texture.

Im almost certain I've seen this car slammed on FB and the guy smashed the sump. The engines probably toast.

Got a sneaking suspicion that it's got a 2.8 that Ray built? Headers and Rac Dyn cam cover look familiar from when they were in a Sterling Mt2 that got binned on the Shelley Beach Road off ramp.

SJ has had it in the workshop when it was on 777MHL plates, I tried to find the pics but failed, it was immaculate iirc?
