If he would take 11k without the RS but on standard wheels then its actually looking like a decent deal in the current market

Why doesn’t this have a sunroof ? I thought all genuine M325i’s have them.

Hello forum, newly joined.

It appears there’s a batch of NZ new ones without them and without rear head rests.

I bid up to $43k on the red one that sold yesterday for over $60k and drove it, was nice, some work to do on it but nice.  It had no sunroof or rear headrests either.

Interesting also that the M Tech II M325i models new in NZ seem to have dealer fitted rear high stop brake lights as the rear spoiler would hide the usual LCI factory one.  I thought it was odd on the red one but this charcoal one seems the same?

Welcome @E28E30

Your right, I didn’t even pick up on that red one missing the sunroof. There must be a few different combos around as my NZ New has a sunroof but doesn’t have headrests or high stop lamp.

Thank you :)

To not quote Phil O’Reilly’s post, defo not rich but love E30s.  I think the M325i is the most perfect looking version but have only had lowly 318i (M10 and ?M40) versions.  My Dad had an LCI 320i and since the 80s have wanted a 325i hah.

It seems Covid-19 travel restrictions and paper wealth on property is driving things sky high 😕

Wish I had bought that blue mint 525e a member had a while back, E28 520i was my first BMW, the “click” on the door handle awww

The best version.

To think you could have purchased my one for $10K in 2016?
I really wish I still had it.  Not because it was a great car.  But so i could sell it and buy something much nicer.

what makes the Tech 1 better than the Tech 2, to earn the mantle of 'BEST', @Driftit Dan?

Better looking IMO.  Steel bumpers.  Less bulky plastic looking.  Better spoiler.  Looks far different than the non M models.
Does the Tech 2 come with Houndstooth interior?  If not then that too.

And rarer too apparently...

Didn’t the Tech 2 body kit end up being available on other models at the end, so it was no longer “exclusive” to the M325i? Pretty sure only the M325I had the Tech I kit.

I think so.  There were four doors new in NZ with the kit; and have seen pre-LCI 4 doors with the M Tech I kit.

Not sure if the listing is correct on that silver one as I thought there were older M Tech Is? May have been something else or several batches of these awesome cars

And now showing as 'sold pending payment'

Without wheels, but still must have been $12-13k for a 316i inside two days.

Wow.

I'm not sure about that Jon.  My Series car which was a 320i Auto 4 door also had the Mtech 1 kit.

And a friend had a 4 door 1990 320i with the Mtech2 kit.  Was Auto too.

@Driftit was this your one? I remember pondering this when I first started looking. Think they were asking 10k

Yeah that's my old one.  Actually my photos.  It has resold a few times since then I think.  Last time for closer to $20K maybe a year or two ago.

If you thought the cars are getting pricey, here's something that'll blow your mind.

Ebay.

Set of four mint 14x6J5 BBS euro weaves - with caps - no tyres.  USD1275.00.

You saw it here first, folks.

Now tell me 14" baskets are worth nottin' 😄

Seriously, I wonder what they'll go for?

Another NZ M325i Tech Wan spotted in a dealership, black, very, very tidy condition. In for WoF and service as it’s in the process of being sold (has deposit taken).

Could this be Mr Oxton's one?  Was nearly identical to mine but better.
