E30 325i Rag-Top

Is This Where The E30 Market Is Now..?

Recommended Posts

Probably fit a lot better than a fibreglass one! Would be interested to hear from anyone that has bought from Mr Bodykits, some of the stuff looks very tempting!

Been looking through TM on my breaks and still didn’t see this until you linked it now. Are you just on TM 24/7?!

Loving the towbar on it 💪

A 316i could barely tow the skin off a rice pudding...

but gee whizz  --  this particular 316i is going to look mighty fine as it struggles to get up any slight incline with a trailer in behind.

You've never put a bicycle rack on your car, or brought a couple of sheets of gib home from Bunnings?  It's not just about towing your 8 metre house to a new caravan park.

It's a more-door (mordor?) rather than a coupe.  This was up for sale not long ago yeah?

Pretty tidy though, wonder how much it’ll get

If you wait patiently on the sidelines long enough, you'll find out 😀

Neat 318 coupe with factory sports seats

And some other nice goodies, SE steering wheel, cassette holder centre console.

Most E30s rust around the rear lights, but yeah, would need to see how bad it is in other areas for it to be worthwhile saving.

Pretty sure a bimmersporter used to own this, in the Air Force / flying, etc, Kelvinator8 was it??

Either a bargain or a $3000 donor car

You got a body yet for your drivetrain?

In the process of buying a complete car so will be an engine rebuild and move it on.

@APT Did anyone from here take it? Would be curious to see if it was a good steal.

@Ghost Chip called the owner at 5.30pm yesterday and he said it was already sold. Not sure who got it. If anyones selling the seats let me know :P

Probably an absolute weapon if it's still got the 2.8, would need a tall diff to use the dogleg 245 though, I remember a friends Hartge 2.6 with the dogleg and a 3.73 diff was practically undriveable until 3rd.

Wonder if the $7K price increase reflects $7K worth of rust remediation? Methinks not.

Jaysus, took several months to shift at $23K several months ago?

E30 market vs AKL property market 😳

Unfortunately 'm in both 🤣

Seems to have lost 100000kms somewhere along the way?

So is this car potentially a once rusty, higher mileage rebored engine version? The advert doesn’t mention the engine which you’d think would be a plus?
