Why not just keep spending money right? Got myself a new plate - pleasantly surprised it was available:

I kind of wish the plate was installed a bit lower... I think the "right" position is the top of the plate should line up with the indentation line on the bumper.

It's taped on at the moment, so needed to maximise contact patch - will see how it holds - my last two screw holes are quite high up on the bumper so wouldn't work any lower like this.

Looking at this pic (assume its an OEM Euro holder?) the line is broken anyway - plate itself is slightly lower though.

Could look at a holder and spray it Orient blue I guess.

Well done man, I was thinking of getting an E30 for a while and had my eye on that plate for a while - good to see it go to a Bimmersporter - bargain IMO

Not sure I understand the point of plates that say what the car is, but euro plates do look good on it (i know it had euros before).

IMHO it's a good plate to own.

I agree with a little bit lower, and I don't think a quality plastic plate holder would detract.

Your opinion is moot, [ FUNWON ] 🤣

Agreed though, a little lower with a black plate frame but not the plate plinth that the silver car above has.

I understand that perspective, but personally I like this one though and had been looking at plates as a finishing touch for a while.

May even be useful on a subsequent car or have some value if I lose this car.

I’m a fan boy of your car - it’s stunning.  Personalised plates are just that - personal.  Much better than fugly standard plates with a salad of letters an numerals.

Why didn't you go with the thin/smaller plate?

I did consider but the asymmetry bothered me TBH

This is true... but I found out, after getting mine, that you can get an even small one (no side logos) if you email them after your order and ask for a plain front (small) plate... not very helpful information for either of us now! If you order a plain rear it automatically comes with a plain front but you can't couple a logo rear plate with plain front using their website.

Since I have a small (logo) front on the 1'er I can get it replaced with a plain one but after forking out the good coin I don't need to spend more on plates now. Since you have a large front I think it will be prohibitively expensive to go small and plain.

Personally not a fan of the big euro plates but car looks good otherwise

You prefer the Euro slim or the normal plates?

I like these, wouldn't mind trying a Euro slim plate on the front at some point - maybe I will when I eventually paint the front bumper.

Australia appear to have some options for very small plates - not 100% on the look though.
