E36 M3 evo

Recommended Posts

Absolutely mint example, looks to be priced at the very high end of the E36 M3 market but you wont find one that looks this tidy probably. Its good news for some of the E36 M3 owners on here :)

It's missing the rear spoiler which just makes it look weird to me for some reason

Funny didn't notice that until you pointed it out.

The rear spoiler was optional, and didn’t actually produce any downforce.

$38k is bloody strong money.

Wow. ?

Edit: plate rings a bell, if it lived in Auckland around 2004 I think I know a PO.

You learn something new everyday.

Now they give read the ad fully, I can't help but feel that if you are going to be the most expensive M3 on the market you have all the little stuff sorted. Maybe that's just me

Pricey, but beautiful car.

Estoril blue E36 M3 is one of my favourite BMWs.

Yeah, dealer option which is a PITA because we have a disconnected, redundant third brake light moulded into the rear shelf and window.

Some NZ new ones were factory specked with a rear spoiler and therefore don't have the rear screen light.

Very cool, but I couldn't live with that old airbag wheel.

Yes, steering wheel must go but that's an easy enough swap on the Evo.

I seriously don't think they're worth this much. And I own one.

At that price, helps me justify what I've spent on my conversion... Of course, not a genuine M3 but $38K!!!

Did a full repaint on mine in Feb/Mar - I was 50/50 between this colour and factory original. I really like this colour!!

Ended up going with the factory original colour of Mauritius Blue but it was close...

The four spoke wheel was only on the first 9 months of 3.2 production, unfortunate, but easy enough to change as mentioned.

Suspect somebody wanted the car that was the same spec as the one on their bedroom wall growing up.

the white 3.0 will be back on TM before the end of the day at this rate!

Yeah, to be honest, if I was in the market for a relatively rare car and had a bit of coin, I would over-pay for the colour I wanted.

The rise in asking/sales prices for this is relative to other hero models from the same era (including E34&E39 M5s and E30 m325i).

Look at the asking prices of any turbo charged Jap car, 993 and 996 Porsche or 1990s HSVs in good original condition.
$40k or so for this M3 doesn’t seem unrealistic after all.

At the end of the day it is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it - if it sold, it sold for market value.

^^ Same!

TBH I’ve been toying around with idea of selling mine for a while. Now I might just hang on to it, I don’t know. The thought of owning a car that is appreciating is pretty cool haha
