Oh no not yours too! I hope yours is easier to fix :)

Didn't think water pump issue would lock it in park? I've heard about people just driving short distances at a time to move these cars when the water pumps die.

It's an odd mix of codes, cam shaft, water pump, DME, trans locked in park... likely just a dying battery or alternator? It's usually something electrical when a bunch of seemingly unrelated faults pop up at once.

My bro had a similar issue - DME died - insanely expensive.Hopefully it's not that!

Id guess more electrical faulty, as above... if it was a 130 id say something like the PDC swimming in water will do that.

Tell me more, is this a known issue?

E87s tail light seals leak, and fill up the boot space that a few computers sit it, most common is the PDC. Which ends up sitting in a few inches of water, in its own private pool. I dont thing E9x's suffer from the same thing, but the results look the same - christmas tree of seemingly unrelated error codes.

Well since my PDC doesn't work I will add this to the list of things to check. Thanks.

Same thing happened to my 135i, similar codes to what you have. DME needed to be replaced. Mine was water damaged. DME box seal had been pinched.
Expensive if you go to a BMW Dealer ($2100 + GST) or you can send your DME, CAS & Key to a ECU specialist and they can clone your old DME to a new one or used one. Luckily mine could still be read and cloned.

There's an Australian company offering full DME refurbs with a warranty on TM at the moment, I have no experience but if that's the problem it might pay to send them an email.

your coolant pump is the problem. once overheat your vehicles dies off you can restart your vehicles once its cools down. and you can notice during your first start your fan is causing very loud noise. your coolant pump is short circuit.

I have ordered a pump thermostat kit so will do that as required maintenance. I will check the charging system and battery (Only 18 months old). I will pull the PDC and replace as its not working anyway and finally check the DME for any water damage. Hopefully the DME is ok as I only had the MOSFETS for the injectors replaced a year ago, but opening it may have made it more prone to leakage, I guess I will find out. I will say the car still starts and will rev but after being on for 10 to 15 seconds the warning lights come on and it locks into park (but not if its moving).

100% Hi temp light and 104k....you've been lucky and had 50k more than many people get out of them.:D

There is an electric water pump test process ...check the procedure for your model but it's roughly like this. This would be conclusive I'd think.
