D1S Bulb replacement or upgrade options

Recommended Posts

One of my low beam D1S bulbs has died in my E87.

Are there any recommendations as to what I should replace them with or upgrade to?

So far its these with a staff discount.

I used to get mine from a shop called GT Auto Source. Based in Newmarket in akl but I believe they have a website too. Good quality bulbs and pretty sure he had the option of 6000k or 8000k. Those Narva ones are pretty good quality too

I'm sure I know that GT Auto source guy from my Nissan days.

How hard are they to change out on an E87.  I have lent my car to my brother in law who will need to change them.

You can do them in situ but you need to remove the airbox to do the LHS. It's much easier to remove the headlamps though (still have to remove the airbox).

Cheers.  That's a job for me.  I picked up some cheap no brand ones from Trademe for $40 delivered.

But I am going to order some Osram ones through Amazon/Dip Bag to replace them.  Will look at the Angle eye replacements for color matching after xmas.

I don't have any sorry. The problem with buying one is colour temp matching.

If you can wait a week or so I'd get these (twin pack): https://www.amazon.com/OSRAM-Xenarc-Night-Breaker-Headlight/dp/B07FYP6QJV/

Brightest on the market that I'm aware of.

Hi, do you have them in stock now? Thanks
