gofaster 93 Report post Posted December 4, 2020 Hi. Getting on with some jobs now I have secured the Blue 130i manual. What is the recommendation for headlight bulbs? It is the cloudy looking one in attached pic, main beam. When I Google them craploads of options appear with different part numbers. I have some other noob questions like how the heck do you know when the engine is at operating temp as there does not appear to be any gauge or display. Thanks in advance, John. Jacko 2076 Report post Posted December 4, 2020 (edited) Id start with fixing the UV damage to the lens, bunch of products out there that do it. Cut the yellow off, polish, reprotect - will do wonders. Use realoem and your vin to find the right bulbs, there are a few changes throughout the model years/options. Water temp is looked after by the electronics, it'll tell you if its overheating or if the thermostat isnt working correctly as is closed loop control. Its possible to get watertemp readings out of the OBD2 port for apps like torque etc. Its also possible to get it to display on the dash LCD, but I forget how OBD2 is better.
