New member - f30 335i

Recommended Posts

Hi all, new member to the site here. I’ve owned bmws for years. E46, f20 but just picked up a f30 335i. Long term looking to do a stage 1 or 2 remap and would appreciate any advice on the n55 engine. I’d be keen for the meet up in Auckland also!

That's a smart looking car Edward, nice one and welcome!

Regular Auckland casual meet the first Sunday of most months, no doubt Feb 2021, see you there. 😎

Key for n55 engine maintenance is regular oil service. Dont go past 10,000kms between changes. Just dont.

I used a no brand alloy one from China and it was perfectly fine, no issues in 3+ years. There's heaps on the market so just choose one that looks to be well made I guess. FTP which is a Taiwanese brand is a popular choice.

I used ftp it was the cheapest decent option. Plenty of more expensive ones but i doubt theres any performance difference.
