Contrails

The addiction continues in the form of an E46 330ci

Recommended Posts

This will be my daily and it needs a bit of work body wise.  But it’s a straight six NA BMW and that’s all that matters.
It’s Monaco blue with grey leather. German made and was once used as a display car by BMW in Germany (apparently).

Good score.
Looks mint. What needs attention?

wow, this is a very interesting car. the grey leather interior is quite nice and that wood trim is definitely not the standard "wood" trim.

Great pick up Rohan, was very tempted myself!

I really really like the Birchwood interior trim, looks sooo much better than the Jaguar-spec brown wood that kiwi new coupes seem to have been afflicted with.

Bonnet has a bit of clear coat fading. And front bumper has definitely been in a few scraps with steep driveways and lots of stones. The rest of the body needs a good cut and polish to get rid of the swirls.

Thanks mate. I really didn’t want one in silver.  The Monaco blue was just stunning to look at.  I paid just over $8k for it.

The vin (WBABD52020PM09452) comes up as a Left hand drive.  But also as a National version Australia and radio Oceania.

Its only showing LHD in one decoder, which seems to be having a mare as its also missing a bunch of info. Bimmer.work shows it as RHD

Its got a real nice spec, and does mention Pre-series Management, whatever that means. Looks like a good buy.

Spec looks amazing. Can't imagine many cars in 2004 had bluetooth phone prep! Not sure about a towbar on a coupe though...

Google translate may have slightly missed the point on the wood.

I am definitely using bimmerwork from now to decode vins.

The free VIN decoder(s) seem to be bringing all cars (I've looked at) up as LHD.

Good score...

Mate, the Birch trim is epic and especially suits the colour of your seats!
