Noob needs diagnostic help and advise

Recommended Posts

Hi there

I am based in Half Moon Bay in Auckland and I am looking for someone that can diagnose my fault codes on both my BMW's.  I have a 2000 Z3 and a 116I 2006.  I also need advise on noise coming from the rear of the Z3.  I think it could either be the differential or a bearing.

Is there someone that will be able to diagnose and advise as I would like to do some things myself but happy to compensate for time  diagnosis and advise.

Looking forward to hearing from the best bunch of beamers ever.

Kind regards

Willie

sure come see me some time , call before

common wear item is the rear wheel bearings in the Z3 , big loads on them due to wheel/hub offsets

Your 2000 Z3 is all OBD2 so is easy to diagnose.  Like wise the 116i.

Maybe you should look at setting up your own diagnostic kit.  There are cheap and expensive options, depending on what you want to do:

if none of the above works out for you send me a PM, I have the necessary software and connectors.

We'd obviously need to work within the current lockdown constraints.
