SOLD - 2002 E46 330i MSport Touring

Recommended Posts

***SOLD***

After a fair bit of deliberating and inspiration from @Sammo's great listing, it's time to put my E46 330i MSport Touring is up for sale. Currently sitting at 248,XXXkm. This has been my daily driver for the past four years and in that time it has been a super reliable workhorse. I recently purchased an F11 and after having both in the fleet for the past few months I unfortunately can’t justify keeping both. So...

The good:

  • NZ New with detailed service history - Understood to be 1 of 4 NZ New examples in this spec. I have owned the car from 206,XXXkm (December 2017) and in that time all servicing has been completed by Auckland City BMW and Burger Motor Works at 10,000km/annual intervals. I have all service invoices from my ownership, plus a bunch of service invoices prior. Under my ownership the main items replaced include:
    • Full cooling system (radiator, water pump, hoses, clutch fan etc)
    • Valve cover gasket
    • Steering coupler
    • Koni dampening adjustable shocks
    • Diff bushes
    • Driveshaft universal joint
    • Front control arms and bushes
    • Gearbox service (oil and filter)
    • Brake rotors and pads front and rear
    • Vanos line and various seals.
    • Airbag recall done by Auckland City BMW.
  • BMW Style 350M wheels with near new Michelin Pilot Sport 4’s on rear (replaced June this year, circa 2,500km ago), front PS4’s have circa 5mm tread remaining. The suspension refresh, new steering coupler, together with the wider wheels and PS4’s makes for an excellent handling and “tight” tourer.
  • Three keys –All three batteries were professionally replaced this year and the remotes are fully functioning.
  • BMW Business CD head unit with cable aux input. Originally the car came with the BMW tape deck unit which I still have if wanted.
  • Small items replaced recently include bonnet struts, boot struts, rear wiper blade, brighter Philips headlight bulbs (both low and high beam), side indicators, window regulators etc.
  • BMW service and ownership booklets provided.

The not so good:

  • Minor leak from the sump gasket. Only really noticeable if the car is parked up for a few weeks without use.
  • Usual door marks and stone chips, slight paint crack on lower area on front bumper, marks on RHS door. Otherwise for a 20 year old and almost 250,000km car, the panel and paint is in reasonable order but by no means perfect. The car has been garaged my entire ownership. Best viewed in person to get full understanding of the overall condition.
  • LHS front wheel has some curbing.
  • Engine is a little rumbly on initial cold start in the cooler winter months if left to idle and not driven off. Clears itself and runs beautifully once engine is put under load. This 'quirk' has never bothered me, however I did get it checked out by Auckland City BMW for peace of mind.

The car will be sold with a new WOF which has been booked in for next week. The next 10,000km service is due at 250,600km.

Sad to see this go but it would be great to pass on to someone else in the BS community who will hopefully enjoy this wagon as much as I have.

Asking price - $9,600.

Viewings on North Shore, Auckland.

Beauty! Would have snapped it up at the beginning of the year, was looking for a black touring but ended up settling for a 325i, which I'm about to start undertaking a b30 swap on in the coming months.

Best of luck with the sale, looks to be a stunning example.
