I think this did a stint in Whitby Porirua early 2000s. Was a few doors down. Owner was meticulous with his cars and this was replaced by a 911 4s a few years later.

always liked this colour

Hi Neal - That would check with the service history for that time, while Dakar Yellow is not everyone’s cup of tea I love it.

nice and tidy. I'm after a 2-door dakar yellow 3.0. I love this colour on an e36. It just works

Fixed (or something grammatically close haha)!

Do like this example though 😊. GLWS!

After four weeks installing all the parts plus another order from the states I’ve updated my auction so bumping this thread. I’ve upped the price to cover some of my parts and zero of my time……

Will still knock 2k off the listed price for Bimmersport members $42k.

Added some parts pictures because well who doesn’t like shiny car parts right?

Very satisfying to see you're doing it right, the new owner will be well served.

There are few of these around, even fewer in good condition, and fewer yet that are owned by enthusiasts and treated with proper love. And that's the type that command top dollar, the type proper enthusiasts are prepared to pay a proper price for.

Oh, and Dakar. 🥰

GLWS.

Thanks M3AN - I must say I have read a few of your posts all over but mostly on m3cutters to get through a fair bit of this work particularly the rack / tie rod build.

Bump - updated the TM auction. Car is running fantastic, in fact I think probably the best it has in my ownership! I’ll still let this go to Bimmersport members for 2k less than the TM auction so 40k. Also happy to consider reasonable offers.

New Auction Everyone, the original listing closed with 308 watchers, almost 10,000 views and at least a dozen declined offers 35 or lower….. I’ll still let it go for 38 k to Bimmersport members which I think is pretty good value considering its condition and overseas values.

If I can’t get that then I’ll be clearing out the other side of the garage when my new car arrives!

the tipping point will be if it comes with a full tank of gas.

Ha ha yes - mate of mine just brought a 6.3 litre v12. He sent me a pic I just replied with 3.62 a litre….

But yep full tank of gas guaranteed!

The best news is my new M3 doesn’t need gas but unfortunately it’s not a BMW!
