So thanks The dilemma I have is I want to do a 6 pot conv in a e36 1.6 compact m52 b28 or m54 b30 I see this is quite the trend right now I love my bmw's and have been heartbroken since I lost my e36 3.2 evo and as we all know the prices are sky high I bought mine an absolute minter in 2017 for 3500.. Eagle 1515 Report post Posted February 17, 2022 B28 would be the easier\cheaper conversion, less engine problems and nicer to work on engine compared to the B30. B30 is basically the opposite of the above. Only real advantage is more power and torque provided the vanos is working properly.
