E46 M3 CSL X 2!

Recommended Posts

I have detailed both in the past and spent considerable time with both. Both really nice cars! The black CSL has my heart out of the two.

I know one was sold on behalf when I originally saw it in 2020 through this same dealer (company I work for does a lot of work for Southern Specialist Cars) . then the second came not long after that, I believe got found through Southern Specialist Cars network and then sold off market. They were both bought by the same person but now is selling them both. I believe the mileage of both has not gone up much at all.

Pretty sure it was the grey one that came into my old work a few years ago. I drooled over it. A lot.

I always thought the CSL's had neither AC nor radio..?

@Vass that is true for the factory standard spec, less optional equipment = less weight. However it was possible to add back in some of the stuff that was taken out, like radio and AC, if you wanted a little less lightweight and a bit more practicality.

From what I have read, very few were built without them both, as a black (less popular colour) with no radio and no air con is the holy grail (rarest) of the CSLs.

I’m sure our resident CSL expert can confirm exact numbers - calling @M3_Power

I used to walk past a CSL taking my son to school everyday in central London. Parked outside on the road day and night, only moved in the weekends 😂

So glad I got to see Tom @M3_Power driving his one hard.  These ones are likely just to end up in some collection overseas where they will barely see daylight let alone the track.
Thanks for the ride around Pukekohe Tom.  Loved it.

The grey CSL is my old car. It has done very few kms at all since I sold it a couple of years ago.
