Engine builder recommendations for a M20B25 stroker?

Recommended Posts

Hey team, I'm looking for recommendations for an engine builder who can put together a M20B25 2.7ltr stroker, preferably in the North Island.

I have the engine all in bits (minus a few of the ancillary bits eg. water pump, fuel rail, etc) as well as all the components to make it 2.7ltr (conrods from a m20b20, crank from a 2.8ltr m52, etc). I have no idea how to competently put it together.

Going to use this in my '71 2002.

If you are looking for an engine specific specialist you could try Harris Performance (formerly Lynn Roger's Automotive) in Howick.

Otherwise, you could have a chat to the following, all well experienced:

BM Workshop Botany or Grey Lynn

Bavarian Motors

Hell BM

Lynn Rogers have done engineering work for me in the past and the results were always fantastic.

Paul Colliers in Levin is great and has a wealth of knowledge don't often see BMW stuff in there but i have seen other Euro Engines, V8's , classic cars you name it.
Worth giving him a call

Otherwise call Speedfactor in Tauranga and see who they use as they have always been good the crowd here even though i have noticed they branched out and less BMW orientated.

Good luck on your search :)

@BMTHUG have you moved?

I did to another venture but I missed the Bimmers too much so I am back full time as of two weeks ago dude. Have to stay where my passion is. Don't get me wrong, the money was great but for me job satisfaction and following my passions matter more.
