2016 M235i M Performance Version

Hi Guys, I am looking at what seems a M235i M performance version for sale. It does not have M performance trim but am told mechanically it is. I want to know how can I know? The American version of this car only came in manual. This car has the 8 speed box. This is an NZ new car. Can anyone help with this as it is a big deal to me, thanks

All 2016 M235i are “M Performance” versions. This what’s when BMW were offering an “M Lite” which wasn’t quite a full M car (M3, M5, etc) but was a big step up from an M-Sport optioned vehicle.

If in any doubt it should have “M Performance” on the engine cover, and come up on the instrument cluster at start up.

A VIN or rego would be helpful, or even a photo.

i dont know much about this model but you can use realoem.com to verify the model/build info

just do a Carjam, grab the last 7 digits of VIN and type it in as below
