This is true, buying parts locally for the most part is really not a good move. I was quoted 4 shocks and springs for my E34, which in total worked out cheaper than the price of just two shocks of the same sort locally.

My E36 325 auto gets constantly 10km/L half city half highway driving, thats without making an effort to save fuel, so 300km/30L. Best I've got on the same roads while actually trying to be nice was 360km/30L.
-
Wow I didnt realise the E30 was that solid in a hit. What do you think she'd be like at a 100k head on?
-
41.2% BMW pure (58.8% BMW corrupt) is that good?
-
I'm looking at suspension setups, Anyone got experience with H&R vs King Spring Lows? They will get mated with Bilstein shocks, racing dynamic front & rear sways and all urethane
-
I cant wait to get the E34 out there on the track. Should be interesting as long as its not wet
-
Only thing I can think of is the auto lowering and rising of the window as you open and close the door, would be a problem, but thats a fuse isnt it?
-
You could try DCH Motorsport, see if they will do it for you? Not really their sort of thing but they give most things a go, including my pain in the butt E36

Thanks for that, unfortunately there is a 320 locally, which they have tried parts off, and havent got closer to nailing the fault. They are after ECU's ane electonrics from a vanos M50B25 I believe, I'll talk to them tomorrow and find out exactly what thy are after.

Does anyone know of a 325i in Christurch, or anything with a M50B25TU engine, at a scrap yard? My shop needs to find one thats willing to allow them to take parts from said wrecked car to try on mine for fault elimination. The ones down here that they use dont have any M50TU powered cars unfortunately Anyone know of one at a wreckers who would be open to a qualified shop doing that sort of stuff?

thats a lot of power out an m50 - will be interesting to see if you do it. The most I've seen for a fully built non vanos M50 was a reliable 754hp regardless - you'd need to drop a huge amount of money into one to get that power.Getting another 220 hp from a motor is never "easy". Never said it was going to be easy, but with that engine its not overly hard either to get up to 400

That'd be sweet if you could. I'm going to be needing quite alot of BMW tools I suspect lol 400hp boosted M50 anyone?
