  1. Haha so thanks for the help on opening my fuel hatch! But now i don't know if the alternator is gone or the battery is gone to poos... How can i check? I took it for a really long drive but it didn't get really any charge!

Thanks for any help much appreciated!

  2. Remove the central locking unit from the fuel flap. Go into your boot, Pull the side carpet trim away and up by the wheel well is the central locking unit held there by 2 screws/bolts. Undo and pull it out.

Problem solved (I mean now you can put fuel in, charge up the battery and re-install it).

Oh thanks a lot.. Should all the locking of the car go back to normal once the battery is charged up etc?

  3. The locking system requires a good battery... It doesnt work off oxygen

Haha thanks for the tip off.. But like... I only have 1 key... The battery is practically new but i can't keep the car running long enough to charge the battery with the amount of petrol in the car... And also i can't make use of the central locking with the key in the ignition... Any ways around this?

  4. Talking about my m325. The most annoying thing in my life<_<

Ok my car is off the road at the moment as its got no warrent... But the battery has died and since thats happened the locking is all messed up? The drivers door will unlock using the key but not lock, it will also lock from the inside but not unlock. The passenger door locks are kinda opposite. Also seeing the car battery is dead theres no central locking so i can't open the petrol hatch? And I can't keep the car running to charge the battery because the car is running low on petrol? How do i open the petrol hatch and anyone have any ideas on the what has gone wrong with the locks?

Thanks a lot for any input :P

  5. Ok well thanks for the help on my last problem.. It turned out to be the fuel pump being completely crapped out... Well next issue is... Coming home from work the other night, saw my cousin so we had a bit of a blat in the cars. Pulled up next to him at the next stop and we both noticed the car idoling funny. Rising up and down and not sitting steady. So i pull up thinking i should check it out and turn the car off. Look around at battery terminals etc... The when i went to start the car again it fired up, did the funny idol again and then died. Had to jump start and i had to keep giving it gas to stop it from stalling. managed to drive it all the way home, very uncomfortable (braking, shifting and giving gas). What could this be? <_< it would also completely shut down when it was in neutral. Also it wont start now but the dash lights will still light up so the battery isn't all the way gone. Also no sound from the engine bay when i turn the key... Any imput is great.

    Thanks.

  6. I'm going to try get in touch with them today but times a bit of an issue as i'm running late for work. Another theory, could it be a blocked fuel filter? Cause on the way home the car ran out of gas completely... Could that have sucked up enough crap to block an already bad filter?

  7. Ok so i just got my car back from the panel beaters... Rust job taken care of! But now something happened on my way home, the gas was cutting on and off and i was unsure of what to do... I could change gears fine but the same thing could happen. Then driving down a straight road the car didn't lose power but the engine just stopped. I tried turning it on - sometimes it would turn over, gargle a bit of gas and then cut out after about 10 seconds of poor running. I also noticed that i couldn't rev it what so ever. Battery then seemed as if it died but then came back to life after sitting for 5minutes. So i tried jump starting it and nothing. Also tried roll starting it but that didn't work. The engine can't be siezed because the fan still turned when i tried turning the key. Anyone got any ideas? Rather frustrated... If you need more information i can try answer but i'm not too knowledgable on the topic =( Help me please?

  8. Ok my cars diff is stuffed. Or its making a rather large amount of noise. Ive put it into a garage and it seems no one can find a replacement lsd for my 87 e30 m325. What am i to do? Will a normal diff do the job? And what ratio am i looking for? What does the ratio actually determine for the car? Cheers for any help i can get. :D
