It's quite simple, remove old chip, insert new one, start car and let it idle for 10 minutes for the ECU to read new chip and off you go,simple as that. You could get the fuel ratio/air reset to 14/1 but other than that, nothing.I have for 2 years now, used 3 rated chips in my E30 and this is the cheapest way to get extra hp/nm.don't by from the UK,give me a phone call as i can help you out with one,if you are interested.Iv heard good things about getting a performance ecu chip implanted. Wondering if anyone knows if any tuning needs to be done to get optimal performance out of them.
the site im looking to order from is

any info would be appreciated
cheers

I have a 1989 E30 325i Shortblock for sale,it is the bare block with crank/pistons,could suit a stroker project. Also a 320i AFM with adapter tube for cone or pod filter in excellent order.

Hi guys,i don't think that you can do this ,the 731 head valves will meet the top of the 2.7 pistons,if this was the case you could put a 731 head on a 325i block (don't think so)this question has been asked before on this forum.Correct me if i'm wrong but do it factually.Thanks.

Did you not read what the post asked.try an oil change youll notice a difference, take better care of your ride man.

Only if it came from an M20 engine, this has been done down here in Christchurch, the manifold and throttle body complete. This is a good performance mod as the length of the manifold runner is alot longer, giving more low down torque response. You will have to modify the manifold intake ports to match the gasket size and by the way don't pay any more than $20.00 dollars for the manifold as they are only worth scrap metal price.would something like a 535i intake manifold ant throttle body fit onto a pfl 325i block? and would it use origianal injectors or would i have to get new ones?

Hi guys, just wondering how often you change the engine oil and what brand and type of oil you use,eg Semi Synthetic or Mineral oil and the brand, let's see what you come up with.

Hi, alternators always have a slight drain on your battery, thats why you disconnect the leads if you are not using the car for a long period.

This box is made from ABS Black plastic and is 8mm thick with a reflective heat rating of 210 degrees Farinhite, this is a great improvement on my first box made of aluminuim and the cold air is ram fed into it.On the end of it is a m30 AFM and with my other modifications to the engine this works a treat,iv'e never had any problems with this setup since iv'e installed it.

Has anyone got any ideas why the check coolant light would come on when there is plenty of coolant and no leaks to be found would appreciate your views.

The joker selling it doesn't know much does he,it's listed as a 4cylinder but the photo shows a 6 cylinder engine, ask yourselfs ladies and gentlemen.Seen this before - not sure what the story was in the end, but there was alot of speculation as to the genuine ness, and last time the HP claims were slightly less ridiculous.
Enjoy. If it goes for low enough and is in good nick it may be down someones alley - other wise I wouldn't have even bothered posting it up.

If you have a factory handbook it states that the windows can be lowered or raised with the door or doors open and naturally with the key on also, there is nothing wrong with the car.

Hi team, does anyone know of a quick way to adjust the TPS or the simplest method, thanks.

I have used a John Confoti chip 172/173 ecu and have not had any problems with it, there is no pre knock and runs equally well on NZ 91 octane. The people who are on this forum seem to knock chips without any real experience in using them or going on the say so of someone else so the comments are biased.I have 3 performance chips of varying increases and all of them perform well aboven my expectations and on NZ 91 octane. It must be remembered that our petrol is of a higher quality than US and it makes sense that this would make the car run better on our NZ octane.

What displacement would i get with using a130mm conrod onto b25crank and b25 pistons with b25 block?

Would anyone know if you can fit a 731 (320i) head onto a m20/b25 (325i) block? An article came up on the Malayan BMW web site that this increases the torque quite significantly with no adverse affects.I was wondering if anyone here in NZ has done this conversion or know if it is possible, or could lead me in the right direction, regards phil.

Hi it's Phil here, tell me what is your e30?Is it a 320i or 325i and what year is it?Also is it Motronic ECU as Jetronic ignition can't be chipped and we will take it from there, cheers Phil.
