Not sure if you still have 16:9 minister if it would fit e38 would be interested. Heard e39 doesn't fit e38 not 100% sure of that though. Thanks.

What says mute, the E38 system? Isn't there a jack for the sound (mono) as well as AV?

The sceen comes up with mute in green at bottom of screen

But no sound, somebody wrote on another bmw site that it would,nt play iphone through the av outlet

so put sony mp3 player same result. Thanks

Put 3.5 jack from iphone to 3.5 av in at back of console get av on screen. Says mute cant get mute off any ideas. Thanks

Parrot cannot integrate with the BMW controls

Only the BMW bluetooth interface can be controlled by the BMW buttons and can show al the phone info on the BMW nav system (TV screen) or BMW radio.

Bluetooth units can be obtained from www.bimmernav.com

dont know if this helps but go to e38.org and they have a section for e39 and theres three retrofits for reversing cameras diagrams and pictures

There is most definatly a genuine Coolent & this should be changed every 4 years as coolent tends to lose its ability to protect your engine from rusting from the inside & also helps condition the coolent hoses etc, there is also a vast diffrence in the quality of various products out there & since the Genuine BMW coolent is only $14.81 plus gst for 1.5 L , I would ask the question "why would you NOT do as the Germans say & put the real mc coy into your car"??

Hi Guys (and Girls)

Today had to renew the WOF on my 2001 E39

All OK except for some grief from the inspector fellow who was not happy having to guess some of the digits in the odometer due to the dreaded pixel habit of going intermittent.

What is the current state of play with this problem? I know Jochen did some preliminary work but this seems to have come to a halt.

Can they be repaired locally?(Auckland)

What does it cost? What is the proceedure?

Does it cure the problem permanently?

What help can we get from our friendly BMW dealers on this problem

MINE WERE NACKERED AS IT'S 97 740 BUT THEY LOOK LIKE NEW. TAKES A COUPLE OF DAYS

CAN'T GIVE YOU A PRICE AS WAS UNDER WARRANTY BUT CAN ASK IF YOU LIKE OK
