  1. I would say the plate, or the lid itself. Try pushing down on the lid in different parts and see if it goes away.

If it's the lid, get some dynamat or similar and lay it over. You can also make a nice trim panel to attach to the lid, and stuff lots of foam behind it.

If not... how about the light assembly? I don't really have anything else in my trunk... it was the lid that rattled for me.

  2. I have a strange problem with my electric windows (heater/blower also seems tied into it);

When I start the car up in the morning or after a long period, everything works fine. After the car's warmed up, things still work fine. Then if I turn off the car, i.e. park up and go into a dairy/whatever, I turn the car back on and the windows don't work.

So then I'm kinda screwed, UNLESS I open one of the doors, then the windows go up/down fine again. So, unless I want to open the doors at 50-100kph, I can't use the windows while I'm driving.

So, what could it be? Dodgy relay/connection/plug? Which one? I've checked all the fuses, but that's all I could think of.

    Cheers,

  3. I have a similar problem to OLLIE's...

My friends say my car's 'rotoring out again', cause it 'pulses' to about 300rpm, kinda 'shudders', then back up to ~700rpm... sorta sounds like a rotor idling slowly

I just hold the rev's at about ~900rpm at the lights/stopped, and after a few minutes of driving it goes away.

  4. Cheers guys.

Ben; yea that's the one. My install isn't very pretty, but I've got...

    Panasonic ghost face CQ-DF802U heady w/ 5v pre-outs

Caliber CA 475+ 4-Ch Amp, bridged to run fronts at 240w RMS x 2

    Infinity Kappa 60cs 6.5" components

Caliber CA 2000D+ Mono-block Amp, rated at 1250w RMS @ 1 ohm, but only running 800w RMS @ 2 ohm.

2x Infinity BETA 12" SVC 4ohm Subs, rated at 375w RMS. They each have a 1.25 cu/ft sealed enclosure

Pioneer TSW692(?) 6x9s for a bit of rear fill

Lotsa meaty wiring, big cca truck/tractor battery

And I have a 6.5" Sony PAL monitor on my dash, but havn't got anything to hook up to it yet... saving up for a PS2 or something ^_^

Since there's no quick fix for its boat-like characteristics, I've just made it look nice and put a big sound setup in it...

You guys have some nice cars btw B)
