Hi to all, I have recently bought ( from Japan ) a 2010 120I M series hatchback, only done 23000kms,so yes it is quite pristine in Alpine white( no photos as yet) My problem is info on the car controls and accessable codes. I have searched pretty extensively a copy or download of a User Manual( Not a service manual) and to date a 120 I manual is nowhere. I did download a 2009 and 2010 user manual from USA which had some data however as the USA do not have a 120i in their available imports ,they only sell 128 and 130 plus some more exotic in their I series. I cant find anything to date in UK except a Service Manual for ! series up to 2006. Out of interest I rang BMW NZ, no luck, then tried Team McMillan BMW who said that they could order one for me for $80............ I found that a bit exorbitant. I doubt that I am the only member with this query,Appreciate all help.

Interesting to hear that you changed to Continental non run flats. I was told by a Tyre Co , that if I changed to non run flats then I would not get a warrant of Fitness. I said to the guy " what if I bought an emergency spare 17" and occasionaly put that in the boot ........... No answer, no reply. Is this data about WOF fact or just BS, By the way what are the specs on your Contis tyres.

Thanks, but I acquired a new set of Black and chrome grills from a friend.

Hi to all. I am interested in response and experiences from users of run flat tires. I have seen many comments overseas on them and the fact that many European manufactures have used them for at least a couple of years. I try to cut through all the BS etc to figure out if it is only a manufacturers way to save money by not having to supply a spare +jack + wheel brace , or for NZ conditions and roads a good standard tyre ie Unidirectional or Standard is more worth while. I look forward to your replies.

Hi to all, I am a nooby to this site, and having recently acquired a BMW am looking for advice on how to replace the Kidney grills. I have a 2010 120 I M series 5 door hatchback and I want to change the all black grills to a black and chrome type, which I feel will look better with the sparkling white paint work. I have visited many sites which gave heaps of info, some of which I am reluctant to try eg " Use a block of wood against the grill and give a sharp bang with a hammer, and Lo the grill pops out. Not on my baby. I have undone the Torx screws on the top frame and removed the rubber seal, as advised, but no way can I get my hand in any where to get access to the grill spring clips. Do I have to remove the whole front section panel?? Advice needed. Thanks
